7. The State of Haryana achieved the fastest
acceleration in secondary sector growth during
1980s with an average annual growth rate of 15 per
cent. However, in the 1990s, this annual growth rate
declined to 8.37 per cent.
During the period 1981-2000, as a whole, the
fastest acceleration in the secondary sector growth
in India took place in Haryana with an average
annual growth rate of 12.58 per cent.
