To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to you in support of Mr. Valliolah Soleimani and his desire to attend PhD in your
university. Though many students ask me to make this request on their behalf, I only recommend
students whom I feel are well-suited for the program of their choice. Mr. Soleimani is one of those
students and therefore, I highly recommend that he be given the opportunity to attend your university.
As Associated Professor of Biotechnology at university and Molecular Marker Breeder in DARI, I work
with many students who have substantial knowledge of biotechnology. Each year I notice that only a few
outstanding students offer a unique perspective and really embrace their learning of the subject matter.
Mr. Soleimani has consistently shown such a strong desire to learn that I simply could not turn down his
request for recommendation.
I first met Mr. Soleimani in my Molecular Genetics course during the first semester of 2011. Compared
to the class average, Mr. Soleimani earned the highest grade in the class. I would have to say he was one
of thoughtful and independent student that we had at the class.
Though Mr. Soleimani has consistently exceeded in all areas of his coursework, the best example of his
intelligence shone through his thesis on “Study of gene expression for drought and salinity resistance
in two susceptible and tolerant soybean cultivars”. The work clearly showed his ability to deliver a
clear, concise and well-thought research. He has the abilities and drive to accomplish almost anything he
sets his mind to. His suggestions relating to improving the research accuracy have been impressive. He
could present part of his researches in the conference as soon as it was possible.
As a student, Valliollah is very enjoyable. He establishes rapport easily with all clients and other
students. He has succeeded in creating enthusiasm among all who work alongside him. His sense of
humor and easy-going personality have been much appreciated.
Mr. Soleimani has developed the skills and attitudes necessary to continue his study towards PhD. He
continues to impress me with his knowledge, skill and dedication to his work. I’m sure you will find him
to be a student whose talents will only shine further through your graduate program. It is my hope that
