2. DEFINITIONS OF ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE:
Organizational structure is a system used to define a
hierarchy within an organization. It identifies each job, its
function and where it reports to within the organization. This
structure is developed to establish how an organization
operates and assists an organization in obtaining its goals to
allow for future growth.
The organizational structure would show who is at a higher
level in the organizational. Big companies are typically quite
vertical and have many levels whereas small companies are
flat with few levels
The organization structure is simply the way in which the
PEOPLE within a business are structured - what their jobs
are, and who they report to.

Each department have functional manger
F/M directly manage specific function
Hierarchy/chain of command
Top/Bottom communication
Traditional organization structure
Function will conduct project related activities
F/M will manage both F/activities & P/activites.
Create overburden on employees
F/M have high level of authority
Employees specialized in own work

10. MATRIX ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
Combination of Functional & project base
organization structure.
Both functional & project Manger is their.
Sometime F/M have high level of authority &
sometime P/M Manager Have.
If we have both the managers(F/M & P/M) so
it mean employees report to both.NO
Functional activities Report to F/M
Project activities Report to P/M
