5. When
Experimenting
Goes Wrong
Neil Patel was able to profit from his
inner rebel in business. But in 2011, he
falls flat in an attempt to showcase this
personality trait in style, hairstyle that
is. It’s wrong on a number of levels.
First, it’s not flattering.
Two, it’s badly sculpted and looks like a
bad attempt to cover bedhead.
And three, it doesn’t suit his
demeanor or attire and screams
“imposter”.

7. “...I’ve noticed that
when I dress nicer, I
seem to be getting
larger business deals.
Mainly, it’s because
people assume that I’
m well off based on
how well I dress.” -

8. The
Transformation
Still dressed in
black, but
modernized.
He wears the
outerwear as
innerwear look
well.
While Neil’s
clothes fit. They do
nothing for him,
nor do they say
anything. The
microphone is the
most authoritative
part of this image.
Neil shows off time spent in the
gym with a close fit dress shirt.
Worn under a snug cardigan for
polish.
9. Neil Nails It The jacket fits perfectly in the
shoulders. The thinness of the
shirt collar, tie and jacket
lapel highlight his long figure.
Long figures are always
associated with elegance.
The white shirt adds light to his
face and bring out the
brightness of his teeth and
eyes.
Whether you know of his
accolades or not, this is the
look of a man you trust.
Neil Patel has the appearance of
a fun loving goofball. But he’s
also a businessman. Here he uses
a shawl collar sweater as an
alternative to a jacket. While the
contrasting buttons mimic Neil’s
hair color and add a bit of visual
interest.
