The University of Rzeszow was established on the first of September 2001 through the merger of the Pedagogical University of Rzeszow, the Maria Curie Skłodowska University of Lublin, Rzeszów branch, and the Economics Faculty of the Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural Academy of Cracow, Rzeszów branch. It is young, open and strong on its variety. It is located in Rzeszów – the capital of the Podkarpackie Province in the south east of Poland.
