6. NA 2002 – Winning Party Map

seen in Karachi and Lahore.
7. NA 2008 – Winning Party Map
PPP gained on their existing popularity after
assassination of Benazir Bhutto . They won
National assembly seats from every
province and formed government. MQM
regained their strength in Karachi while
PMLN swept
Lahore and surroundings.

Urban cities were not exemplary for the rest
of Pakistan for voter turnout %. Lahore didn’t
have more then 40% turnout in any of its
Constituency.
NA – 73 (Bhakkar I) and NA – 74 (Bhakkar
II) has the highest Voter turnout in 2002.

Karachi improved on its voters turnout
percentage and went above 60% in some
of the constituencies. While Punjab and
Sindh may show over all improvement,
KPK and
Baluchistan showed consistency
compared to previous elections.

MQM took a few initiatives placing their
candidate beyond Karachi and Sindh,
though their strength remained in Karachi
and Hyderabad.
