3. Dosage:
๏ 400 mg once daily.
๏ For Infants and children 6 months up to 12 years of ageโDose
is based on body weight and must be determined by your
doctor. The dose is usually 9 mg per kg of body weight per day
taken for 10 days. Infants up to 6 months of ageโUse and dose
must be determined by your doctor.
๏ Maximum Dosage: 400 mg.
4. Indications:
Ceftibuten is indicated in following infections:
๏ Upper and lower respiratory tract infection including
Pneumonia
๏ AECB
๏ Enteritis and gastroenteritis caused by Salmonella, Shigella or
E. coli.
๏ Uncomplicated & Complicated UTIs
๏ Prophylaxis in Cholecystectomy and/or Biliary tract surgery
๏ Off-Label:- Typhoid Fever
