Security Officer: My duties as a Security Officer are to assume patient assist post, check-
in and document after-hour visitors, and patrol the hospital buildings. If a visiting patient is
on a mental or medical hold, I am responsible for ensuring that patient does not leave (until
cleared to do so by medical staff), as well as does not harm any other patients, staff, and/or
themselves. I am required to document, check-in, and issue visitor passes to all patients that
arrive during after-hours. I also type patient and hospital activity reports during this
time/post. The last (certainly not the least) on my list of duties is assuming the responsibility
of patrolling the four buildings of Rose Medical Center to ensure a safe and peaceful
environment is present at all times. When called on if a disturbance is present, I assist my
follow officers and medical staff to defuse/stabilize the situation and restore peace in a
timely manner.

Cyber Navigator (Teen Room): As a Cyber Navigator in the Teen Room, it is my
responsibility to aid and assist with technical issues presented by visiting students. I walk
through steps to complete a particulartask dealing with the library equipment, or actually
physically preform what needs to be done (software and hardware). In particular, I deal with
our “Garageband” software and help with studio recording and exploring questions and/or
technical difficulties. I assist students with connecting game systems and/or computers to
TV’s (HDMI, etc.) in a timely manner. Exercise proper time management with equipment
holding time limitations. Throughout the day I assist librarians with the checking out of
books, study rooms, and library equipment.

Machine Operator: As a Machine Operator, it is my duty to embed smart chips into
various customer credit/debit cards. I set up, adjust, and monitor the equipment (MPR
machine) to produce as many “smart cards” in a shift as possible. When asked, I assist co-
workers with the set up and needed adjustments. I am required to perform basic level
maintenance on my machine throughout the shift, for a smooth flow of produced cards.

Eligibility Specialist: I am responsible for processing new and annual renewed
government medical assistance applications from the online Peak website. I am to use the
skills and knowledge I received from my “on the job training” to determine if the information
uploaded to the computer system (CBMS) is correct. It is also my duty to perform case
maintenance and update missing information on open and existing cases.

Quality Control Inspector: It is my responsibility to ensure the desired bleach
produced is at a specified concentration. This is accomplished by weighing random bottles at
designated times and observing the results. From my observations of these results, I
determine if the desired bleach is at the proper concentration based off weight. I am also
responsible for the quality of propercap closure by means of measuring cap torque. When
requested, I assist my lead in equipment diameter changes for various size bottles.

manner instructed by a talk man system. Once all items are properly selected and stacked,

Lead Ramp Load Master: My responsibilities were to ensure the safe loading of
assigned GLA aircraft. This included making time sensitive calculations of passenger weight
and luggage with the captain of the flight. I needed to handle harsh (hot/cold) weather
conditions as well as work under pressure to ensure on time departures of assigned flights.

Fueler – Same job responsibilities and duties as Skytank, however was promoted to the
positions of Lead Fueler and OJT (On the Job Trainer). As a Lead I would dispatch fuel load
assignments to fuelers. As an OJT I would train new hires on the operationalduties and
responsibilities as a Fueler.
Community Involvement:
Tutor and mentor students’ k – 12 on Aviation and Aerospace related topics with the
Shades of Blue Aeronautical Club.
Honors & Awards:
Received a scholarship from United Airlines’ First Officer Willie Daniels for 10 hours of
flight instruction for successfully establishing Metro State’s Shades of Blue
Aeronautical Club.
Received a flight training scholarship from United Airlines’ Captain Walt Keith in the
amount of $2,000 for demonstrating strong leadership skills on the job and in the
community.
