4. JINDAL STAINLESS (HISAR)
LTD
The HISAR plant was established in 1975 when shri
O.P JINDAL ,envisioned a self reliant INDIA for
meeting its stainless steel demand . At that time
stainless steel was no less than a luxury metal and
india was compeletely dependent on the exports to
fulfill the steel requirements of the country .
HISAR plant was intergrated on stratergy of
both, backward and forward integration starting from
minning ,melting ,casting ,hot rolling ,cold rolling and
other values that are additions .today it is a fully
integrated stainless steel plant of india with a capacity
of 800000 tn per year .
5. Its specialty division caters to the high end protection and
specialty stainless steel requirements of reputed Indian and
International customers.
Company plans to continue as a focus on development of a
new value added stainless steel grades ,process improves
amd customer satisfaction trough developing customized
products as per their requirements.
7. COLD ROLLED
TECHNOLOGY
Cold rolled
technology refers
to a process where
stainless steel
metal are rolled at
room temperature
rather than being
heated at 1100
degrees celsius.
So STAINLESS
STEEL IS COLD
ROLLED STEEL
is rolled at room
temperature by
passing it through
rollers which
enables shaping
8. The cold rolled
steel is a
technology
used for
transforming
the carbon
steel into a
standard grade
sheet which
can be used
for various
applications .
9. WHAT IS ANNEALING AND WHY IT IS
REQUIRED
Annealing is a heat treatment
process which alters the
microstructure of a material to
change its mechanical or
electrical properties. Typically, in
steels, annealing is used to
reduce hardness, increase
ductility and help eliminate
internal stresses. Annealing is
generic term and may refer to
subcritical, intermediate or full
annealing in a variety of
atmosphere.

• H2SO4 TANK (8-12%)
• MIX ACID TANK-1(HNO3+HF)
• MIX ACID TANK 2( CONC.

WHY PICKLING IS REQUIRED
?
11. SHOT BLASTING
Shot blasting is
the technique
used to remove
the debris and
irregularities
from concrete
,metal, and other
industrial surface
.
It utilize the
process of
centrifugal blast
whhel that
shoots media
like steel shot
onto the surface
with very high
velocity.
12. WHY SHOT BLASTING IS
PREFFERED OVER
PICKILING IN MOST CASES
THE MAIN
REASON IS
THAT IN
PICKLING THE
GAUNGE
PARTICLES IS
REMOVED
THROUGH
THE USE OF
ACID WHICH
LEAVES THE
STAINS ON
THE SURFACE
OF THE STEEL
IF THE STEEL
IS LEFT
UNDISTURBED
FOR 2 TO 3
DAYS
13. WHAT IS STEEL
ROLLING
Rolling is the
technology where
metals and alloys are
rolled ,it is put
through series of
heavy roller . Using
this process , the
thickness of the
material is reduced
and gets the definite
shape. So rolling
steel enables the
sheet ,metal steel to
be produced for the
variety of industrial
purpose, like rolling
steel shapes for
standard structural
sections or special
custom profiles

• To build rapport and network with future
employers to increase employability.
19. BENEFITS OF TRAINING
Industrial Training can make the students aware of the Industry
Norms.
The students get to work in a real work environment which can
help them in understanding how an organization works.
It also helps them in knowing the latest happenings in the
industry.
It helps the students in understanding and using the latest
technologies.
Industrial Training can fetch them job offers from good
companies.
The students can get certifications and recommendations from
the company after completion of their training program.
