Re: Recommendation for Tushar Prabodhankar
Dear Hiring Team,
Mr. Prabodhankar is one of the single most memorable student-workers I have
encountered so far in my 20-year career in higher education. He is both intellectually
gifted and emotionally well-rounded. Thus, it’s a pleasure to recommend Mr.
Prabodhankar to you, as he truly is an exceptional candidate. Preceding my becoming
Dean of Undergraduate Programs here at the Golden Gate University (the context where I
worked with Mr. Prabodhankar), I taught courses and held leadership roles at various
administrative levels at a variety of universities including University of San Francisco,
University of California, Berkeley, Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley, and San
Francisco State University. In all my experiences throughout higher education, I would
cite Mr. Prabodhankar in the top 5% of all the students I have encountered in terms of
overall aptitude as well as likability. Allow me clarify.
Mr. Prabodhankar served as my key assistant and our office manager, as well as
our IT administrator throughout the 2015-2016 academic year (and a bit beyond).
Wearing many hats, Mr. Prabodhankar demonstrated the highest level of skill in each
area of responsibility. As you can discern from his CV, he is very well prepared
academically, and has shown his aptitude in complicated, specialized knowledge areas at
the Master’s level. Yet, his soft skills are just as impressive: he communicates and listens
very skillfully and sensitively; he works tirelessly, and was always on time, and always
willing to stay late; he treats all those he encounters respectfully, and with admirable
patience and decorum; he has a wonderful sense of humor, and is an easy colleague to
work with, and indeed, is a true joy to have on any work team.
Mr. Prabodhankar epitomizes both professionalism and personal warmth, and I
have no doubt his many future achievements will be taken humbly and used effectively in
the service of others. He possesses knowledge, experience, and skills that inspired his
colleagues and his faculty alike. Frankly, by the end of his tenure with us, I considered
Mr. Prabodhankar a peer and a friend.
Mr. Prabodhankar’s capacities to facilitate individual and group work to achieve
common goals contributed significantly to faculty morale and an overall team spirit in the
university offices I will not soon forget. By providing a solid intellect, and a creative
approach to his wide scope of responsibilities, Mr. Prabodhankar left an indelible mark
on me and his colleagues. I would accept his candidacy for this position post-haste, as I
know he has a very promising future, and your overall “ecosystem” will become more
efficacious if he is a part of it.
Please do not hesitate to contact me further with questions,
Sincerely,
Nate Hinerman, PhD
