HYDROPOWER
Pharping Hydro Power was
established in 1911 AD as
Chandrajyoti Hydro-electric power
station by Prime Minister Chandra
Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana.Plant
was inaugurated by King PrithviBir
Bikram Shah Dev on Monday, 22 May,
1911 at around 6: 30 Pm by turning
the lights on during a program in
Tudhikhel, Kathmandu

4. ASURA CAVE
Asura cave (Tib. Asure Trak Phuk) lies amidst a
forest poised above Pharping village proper. Tulku
Urgyen Rinpoche began his restoration of the cave
in the late 1980's, and then founded the monastery
and 3-‐year retreat center now known as Guru
Drubne Pema Ösel Ling. The entire village of
Pharping and the surrounding valleys are visible
from the monastery, and on clear days one can see
Himalayan snow-‐capped peaks towering in the
far distance. The sun shines on the cave from
morning to evening and thus serves makes it an
ideal place for meditation during the colder winter
months

5. CHAMPADEVI
Champadevi (about 2200m) is a pure
nature walk, located in the
southwest of Kirtipur & Dakshinkali,
an ancient city of Kathmandu. We
can hike without any disturbance of
vehicles and pollution. As we go
higher up the hill, we will see
mountain peaks and a bird's eye
view of the valley. We can the cool
air when you arrive at the top of
Champadevi hill.

6. NAUMULE
Naumule, from a name , it is clear that it has nine spring which lies in Dollu , pharping of Dakshinkali Municipality. It is such
a amazing place that it is not evergreen water resources , since water comes temporarily or seasonal. There was and will
be a time that this place was & will be a dry place as we have even seen ant moving in the spring and seems as a small hole
ground too. People believes that the water came here from himalayas and somehow force to convenience as the water is
too cold to bear for human skin. At the same time, We cannot neglect the mystery of spring water which need to be
confirmed through data, research and deep study.

7. HATTIBAN ROCKCLIMBING
Hattiban climbing offers an advanced level climb.
The area is located 26km south-west of
Kathmandu valley on the way to Dakshinkali
temple, where we enjoy top-level grade climbing.
Along the way, pass by Samye Monastery, and get
a great view of the Kathmandu Valley. The
climbing grades start from 5a to 6b. This place is
very good in winter because it is south face and
sunlight all day.

8. BHASMASUR HILL
Bhasmasur Dada/Hill is located at the top of the southern part of Kathmandu valley from where we can observe the
mesmerizing view of the valley. We can feel immense pleasure with the inhale of fresh air, observation of different
vegetation and inner peace. Even though there is no any specific spot, we can enjoy beautiful scenario and landscape of hill
which surely filled our soul with joy. Greenery and Moving clouds can be considered as a center of attraction. There are two
way to reach there, however, shortest way is from kharpa which we have followed which takes nearly 2 hours maximum
depending on the hiker, where there is fixed trial just need to follow.

9. CHAUKOT DEVI
30 min walk from Humaney Bhanjyang or 2 hrs hike from Dakshinkali will reach to Chaukot Devi. It is located
at the top of a hill from where we will have the clear view of the mountain, green villages.
