for service as set forth in the following
CITATION
“For outstanding performance of his duties while serving as
.AN/AAS—33 Detecting and Ranging Set (DRS) Intermediate Maintenance
Avionics Technician on board USS MIDWAY (CV 41) from 1 August to
31 October 1990. Petty Officer Stewart demonstrated superb
technical expertise and initiative in a highly demanding billet.
His exceptional knowledge of both the AN/AAM-60 Test Bench and the
UPS weapon system tepeatedly proved instrumental in meeting
intense production requirements. Through superior troubleshooting
techniques and an unyielding commitment to excellence, he
minimized bench down time, directly enhancinq the readiness
posture of USS MIDWAY and the A—6 Intruder aircraft of Air Wing
FIVE. Petty Officer Stewart’s exceptional professional ability
and loyal dedication to duty reflected great credit upon himself
and were ii’ keeping with the highest traditions of the United
States Naval Service.”
