2. About us
navConneX was formed in 2015 with the intent
to leverage off the skills and experience of key
people who have worked in the Navigation space in
Australia and New Zealand over the past 17-18
years.
The business objective is to provide an
independent testing authority to undertake field
validation of Navigation products reporting on
product release usability.
Key people
Trevor Teasdale – Commenced work in 1998 as
the Production Manager at Pacific Access (later
Sensis) and delivered a national routable
navigation map product for BMW that year. Over
the next 17 years he worked on ADAS data,
National Address Point databases, Alert point
databases, B2B products and completed numerous
field validation test programs.

Marcus Dennis – Commenced work in 1996 as the
Data Acquisitions Manager at Telstra, Pacific Access
(later Sensis) with the responsibility to introduce
dGPS data capture systems and integration methods
to drive rapid growth in map accuracy and coverage
rollout. After leaving Sensis he worked for state
government agencies tasked with development of a
state based addressing and location system. During
this time Marcus was a key member of the Australian
Standards committee working on a national
addressing framework.
Rejoining Sensis in 2011 Marcus was the principal
architect in the design and product development of the
company’s National Address Point Database.
