Thomas Higgins - CEO Leica Camera Corporation, CEO Swiss Army, Director of
Brands Tourneau. Created the Licensing Division for Swiss Army (Backpacks,
Watches) - International CEO, exemplary executive, mentor and friend.
The Leica Freedom Train is historic and documentaries made on the subject. The Leica
principles trusted Thomas at the helm of their storied brand as did other companies who
selected Thomas to lead them. Thomas always delivers, and he has taught me to always
do the same.

Dear Mr. Cohen,
My name is Thomas Higgins and I am writing you concerning my young friend Travis
who I have mentored periodically over the last 10 years.
I met Travis almost 12 years ago in connection with a marketing project for a product
distribution company. The owners were seeking a way to evaluate distribution
techniques and Travis was engaged to do software development for the company. I was
connected with the project on a consulting basis unrelated to the software issues, but due
to the experience I had successfully developing fragrances. Travis as it turned out was
developing a unique approach to distribution which I found both fascinating and at the
same time very effective to accomplish the company goals. How I got to know him was
due to his difficulty in explaining what he was doing to the manager he reported to. I sat
in on a meeting and immediately saw that Travis was a high order mind having difficulty
explaining to more challenged folks what he was doing. In the end all worked out fine
and I had a long term friend.
My career has given me an interesting chance to work on unrelated product development
introductions over the years in totally unrelated fields. Travis has explained to me what
he is charged to develop for the company. It seems that he is having difficulty
coordinating his actions with the immediate report in your organization for some reason.
He has told me what he is working on and I find it a novel approach to what could be a
profitable internet project for distribution of products. While Travis might be difficult to
follow at times since his mind moves fast, I can assure you that he is a solid fellow with a
very high intellect. Unless you are a very bright person, it can be hard to follow his
thought train, but I can assure you that he is brilliant and an extremely competent man. I
am a retired executive with a long trail of very successful projects and not looking for a
job or financial involvement of any kind. I am very willing to step in and serve as
interpreter for Travis if you would be open to that. He has asked me to reach out to you
since he is having difficult communication his objectives. Travis is a very unusual
person and has a gift of applying analytical techniques to projects in an unorthodox
approach. I have been witness to his success through many projects, and I have taken
interest in following his career path.
I can make myself available for a weekly meeting and trust that I can service your
company and Travis in a positive manner.
