Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

5 Public speaking tips from TED - Visualized summarySpeakerHub
From their humble beginnings in 1984, TED has grown into the world’s most powerful amplifier for speakers and thought-leaders to share their ideas. They have over 2,400 filmed talks (not including the 30,000+ TEDx videos) freely available online, and have hosted over 17,500 events around the world.
With over one billion views in a year, it’s no wonder that so many speakers are looking to TED for ideas on how to share their message more effectively.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

dine güven sorunu yaşam›yordu. Defans k›r›lgand›, ka-
leci Bryan Gunn rakip tak›m›n her atağ›nda pozisyo-
yenildiler. Yine de hiçbir şey onlar›n
Noel’e kadar lider olmalar›na engel
olamad›. H›zl› k›sa paslaşmaya daya-
l› oyun anlay›şlar› mükemmeldi. Se-
zon içerisinde, lösemi hastas› k›z›n›
kaybeden kaleci Gunn kahraman
mertebesine yükseltildi.
Tak›mda neredeyse her oyuncu Wal-
Robins de rakip kalelere 15 gol b›rakm›şt›.
Dokuz maç sonunda Norwich yedi galibiyetle Co-
ventry’nin üç puan önünde ilk s›radayd›. Gök Maviler
solarken, Kanaryalar rakiplerine ac›m›yordu. ‹lk 19
maçlar›nda 34 gol bulmuş, liderliklerini ikinci s›radaki
Blackburn’ün sekiz puan önüne geçerek pekiştirmişler-
di.
onlard›. Taraftarlar bunu umursam›yordu, onlar›n ilgi-
lendiği Walker’›n suyun üzerinde yürüyebilmesiydi.
şampiyonluğun yak›n olduğuna inan›yorlard›.
Norwich’in üst üste beş maç gol atamay›p üçüncü s›ra-
ya gerilediği Aral›k ay›nda ilk buhran
geldi. Ama geri dönüşleri de dikkat
çekiciydi. Ocak ay›n›n sonuna doğru
Everton’› Goodison Park’ta 1-0 yene-
rek birinci s›ray› kapt›lar. Asl›nda bu,
Manchester United’› yenen Ipswich
ve ayn› gün Aston Villa’y› yenen So-
uthampton sayesindeydi. 26 maç so-
nunda, Kanaryalar ve ligin alt s›ras›n-
daki Oldham aras›nda fark 21 puana

sonlar›na doğru Norwich’in ümitlerini sürdürebilmesi
için Villa’y› deplasmanda yenmesi gerekiyordu. Yen-
gol averaj›yla).
Olympiastadion’daki meşhur 2-1’lik Bayern Münih ga-
libiyetini içeren, Kanaryalar›n UEFA yürüyüşü uzun sü-
re haf›zalarda yer etti. Walker ülkedeki en ümit vaat
eden menajerdi; Graham Taylor’dan sonra millî tak›-
m›n baş›na geçmesi bekleniyordu. Başkan Robert
Chase’e art›k daha fazla dayanamayan Walker, 1994
y›l›n›n Ocak ay›nda Everton’a geçti ve orada başar›l›
olamad›. Onun yokluğunda Norwich dağ›ld› ve
1995’te küme düştü.
2- MSV Duisburg (1993-94)
Li-
ge yeni yükselmiş tak›m, eksi gol averaj›yla şubat ay›-
n›n sonlar›na dek liderliğini sürdürmüştü. Futbol oyna-
d›ğ› dönemde, futbolculuğundan ziyade sol görüşlü bir
aktivist olarak tan›nan Ewald Lienen, 1993 y›l›n›n Mart
ay›nda menajerlik görevine gelmişti. ‹lk kez bir tak›m›
yönetmesine rağmen MSV’yi bir üst lige ç›karm›şt›.
Kadro güçsüzdü ve “Zebralar”dan beklenti, küme düş-
melerine yönelikti. Transfer döneminde tak›ma kat›lan-
lar ümit vaat eden transferler değildi; 30 yaş›ndaki Do-
Frankfurt’un iki puan gerisinde yedinci s›radayd›. MSV,
sezonun ikinci yar›s› ile beraber Leipzig’i 2-1 mağlup
etti. Maç› kazand›ran gol, sağlam defans oyuncusu,
kaptan Torsten Wohlert’ten gelmişti. Bu galibiyet onla-
r› dördüncü s›raya taş›d›. Takvimler 18 şubat’› göster-
diğinde tak›m destan yazmaya haz›rd›.
Bir Cuma akşam›yd›, haftan›n aç›l›ş maç›. Duisburg,
kendisiyle ayn› puana sahip Bremen’i konuk ediyordu.

karş›laşman›n intikam›n› almak istiyorlard›. Misafir
tak›m uzun bir süre maç›n tek hâkimiydi, fakat Lie-
nen’in oyuncular› rakibe hiç gol f›rsat› tan›mam›şt›.
Eintracht, Karlsru-
he’ye yenilmişti, Leverkusen öne geçtiği maçta Ham-
burg’a mağlup oldu. Duisburg 27 puanla, 29 gol at›p
30 gol yiyerek, birinci s›radayd›. Alman futbolunun
görüp görebileceği en garip lider onlard›. Yerel gaze-
gerisinde ikinci s›radayd›) lideri evinde ağ›rl›yordu
ve peri masal›n›n sonunu getirecekti. Bavyeral›lar ilk
sadece dört galibiyet alarak ligi dokuzuncu s›rada bi-
tirdiler.
hâlâ efsane olarak an›lan Lienen, Ekim ay›nda kovul-
du. Közle gol atmay› b›rak›p kendini içkiye vermişti.
Bar›n› k›zg›n taraftarlar basm›ş ve sezon bitmeden
şehirden kaçm›şt›. Tak›m gümbür gümbür küme düş-
tü. Duisburg şu anda 3. Lig’de mücadele ediyor.
3- Chievo Verona (2001-02)
şular›n› Serie A’da karş›lar›nda bulmadan önce,
eşeklerin uçabileceğini iddia ediyordu. Onlar› kim
malar› heyecan vericiydi.
Tak›m Verona şehrinin d›ş›ndaki küçük bir mahalle-
yi temsil ediyordu, sahibi f›r›nc› bir aileydi. O yaz,
önemli transferler yap›lmad›. Böylelikle küme düşen
Reggina’da kiral›k oynad›ğ› dönemde 29 maçta dört
gol atan Marazzina, geri dönerek tak›m›n golcüsü ol-
muştu. Chievo’nun küme düşeceğine dair kimsenin
şüphesi yoktu.
Sezonun ilk haftas›ndan itibaren, Uçan Eşekler taraf-
s›zlar›n tuttuğu tak›m hâline geldi. Teknik direktör
Luigi Delneri, pek tan›nmayan futbolcular›n›n içle-
rentina’y› 2-0 yenmiş, Serie A’daki ev sahibi olduk-
lar› ilk maçta, Bologna karş›s›nda ayn› skorla taraftar-
lar›n› sevince boğmuşlard›. O ana dek sadece Juven-
tus, oynad›ğ› her iki maç› da kazanarak 6 puan› ha-
nesine yazd›rm›ş, bu sebeple Delle Alpi’deki karş›-
laşma ligin zirvesini ilgilendiren bir hâle gelmişti.
Sonras›nda bütün ülke gözlerine inanamad›, Maraz-
zina iki gol atm›şt›. Bu bir mucizeydi.
Juve taraftarlar›n› tenzih ederek, o akşam ‹talya’n›n
kalbinin k›r›lmas›n›n nedeni maç› Juventus’un 3-2
kazanmas›yd›. Ama bu sadece hikâyenin başlang›-
c›yd›, Chievo sonraki beş maç›ndan dördünü kazan-
m›ş, birinde berabere kalm›ş ve 12 gol atm›şt›. Kas›m
ay›nda Uçan Eşekler birinci s›radayd›. Derbide Hel-
birer gol atarak Inter’i San Siro’da mağlup ettiklerin-
de, bu kimseyi şaş›rtmad›. ‹talyanlar Chievo’yu sev-
meyi ve saymay› öğrendiler hatta ligi şampiyon ola-
rak bitireceğine inand›lar.
Ama olmad›. Son şampiyon Roma, Chievo’ya evlerin-
deki ilk mağlubiyeti 3-0’l›k skorla tatt›rm›şt›; Chievo
bir kez daha birinciliğe ç›kamad›. Delneri’nin askerle-
ri 2001’de oynad›klar› 19 karş›laşmada beş galibiyet
ald› ve ligi beşinci s›rada bitirdi. şampiyonlar Ligi’nde
oynama şans›n› bir puanla kaç›rd›lar. Marazzina sezo-
4- UD Levante (2011-12)
Sergio Ballesteros’un Cristiano Ronaldo’yu alt etmesi.
raftarlar›, 2011 y›l›n›n sonbahar›nda o kadar coşkuluy-
tulan tak›m›n lider olmas› inan›lmazd›.
rak görmüyor, hatta şehirdeki futbolseverler her iki ta-
k›m› da destekliyordu.
Kurbağalar sezona iki beraberlikle başlad› ama sonra
Arouna Koné’nin golüyle Real’i yendi. Sevilla’dan ki-
ralanan Koné, o günün öncesinde 40 lig maç›nda sa-
dece bir kez ağlar› bulabilmişti. Rüya burada başla-
m›şt›. Tak›m› yöneten Juan Ignacio Martinez, ikinci lig
ekibi Cartegena’dan gelmişti. Üst üste yedi maç› kaza-
narak bir rekor k›rd›lar. Ballesteros tak›m›n sembol is-
mi hâline gelmişti. Tak›mda sadece o yoktu, kadronun
çoğu diğer tak›mlarda istenmeyen veteranlardan iba-
retti. Malaga deplasman›ndaki heyecan verici 3-0’l›k
galibiyetin başrolündeki tak›m›n yaş ortalamas› nere-
deyse 32’ydi. Tak›m›n en yetenekli orta saha oyuncu-
su José Barkero, U20 Dünya Kupas›n› Xavi ile beraber
kazanm›şt›, fakat sadece Numancia’daki oyunuyla
ak›llarda kald›.
Oyuncular da afallam›şt›. Joselu bu başar›y› “muci-
ze” olarak nitelendirmişti. ‹spanya bu heyecana âş›k
olmuştu ve Levante hikâyeleri ülke çap›nda dilden
dile yay›l›yordu. Bunlardan en tuhaf› bir taraftar›n
puan durumunu büyükannesinin mezar›na gömme-
siyle ilgiliydi.
rebilmiş ve Avrupa Ligi’nde oynama hakk›n› kazan-
m›şlard›.
2012-2013 sezonu boyunca Barkero, Ballesteros’u şi-
ke yapmakla suçlad› ve peri masal› uçup gitti. Yine de
Levante zorlanmadan kümede kalm›şt›.
