This is a relationship of equals not of
one of employer/employee. Clients
sometimes need to be told objective
truths one to one that may not be
revealed in the boardroom.
3. Paradoxically however a senior
independent does not seek glory for
themselves, but for their clients.
4. The reason is simple. Transition is never
easy, but the ideas for new paradigms
often come from unexpected parts of
the client organisation. It is critical that
those ideas are ‘owned’ by those who
have them. Senior independents know
this all too well. Generosity in such
matters is a critical part of the
independent transition leadership
skillset.
