from Flash to HTML5
What is Happening?
Flash is a plug-in for
web browsers that
allows delivery of robust
and dynamic web
content.
Today most display ads
are built in Flash.
What is Flash?
HTML5 is the 5th version
of the core language
used to build webpages.
It adds key video and
animation features which
make it suitable for ad
creation without the need
for plug-ins.
What is HTML5?
Beginning 9/1/2015
Chrome will pause certain
Flash elements by default,
including display ads.
Chrome users are the
largest single section of our
audience at 20-30% of
users depending on CBSi
property.
Why is this changing?
