WO1 RSM Bartlett has presence, leadership, natural
authority, gravitas and common sense. He is methodical
rather than inspirational, but has a deep-seated
knowledge, based on hard-earned experience of what
will and will not work. Whilst deployed in Iraq he has
been excellent, operating well outside his normal
comfort zone, his CO describes him accurately as the
“Regimental 3IC”. Of the ten high quality RSMs within
the Brigade Group, I would place him second.
