As an adult, Chaplin began performing in vaudeville and created his famous Tramp character. Some of Chaplin's most famous films include The Gold Rush and Modern Times. He was a prolific filmmaker throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Chaplin received many honors for his contributions to film, including an honorary knighthood and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
