What is a Sound Engineer?
A sound engineer or designer is in charge of
making the game and the characters of the
game come to life. Sound Engineers input
background music and noise, as well as giving
the people in the game a voice.
The sound engineer/designer also adds other
kinds of sounds to the game. He/she is held
responsible for aiding the game and making it
a lot more interesting with assuring that
explosions, vehicles, crowd noises, and wind +
weather conditions like rain is involved.
An audio engineer works for expansion studios; the physical size of the sound department
building depends entirely on the business, but can consist of only two, or even one person who
sometimes need to work exceptionally long hours, especially as release dates approach for the
video game.
Education
There is a number of qualifications on offer for Sound Engineers at many levels, like music
production, music technology, sound engineering and electronics etc…
Many Sound Engineers start a career as unpaid volunteers, or go freelance straight from school.
They do everything to gain the necessary experience. A lot of Company’s hire younger people
with less qualifications for assistant’s to experienced sound engineers, giving them time to
shadow their work. Larger studios might require a degree.

What is an Animator?
A job in 3D animation for games involves producing 3D moving images, using expensive
computer software. These images are made with the use of digital models made up of shapes in
cyberspace called polygons. After the models have been created, details are added, these
details are often added in photoshop or higher standard programs to produce meshes to go over
the polygons, like hair, clothes, textures for skin, leaves, trees, and every other item within the
scene.
Education
A Career in video game animation requires a bachelor's degree. Regular programs for this field
will range from Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees to bachelor's degrees in game art and design.
Degrees provide a substructure in classic art concepts within their form, color, balance and
symmetry. Real practical courses will often help students build experience in 3D animation.
These programs can also reveal students to the profession and development surface of working
in a real production studio through either coursework or internships.
