Hearing from Members
1. What do you think about the CEF 2015 priorities? Do
they align with what you hope to be a part of as a
member of CEF?
2. Are there other priorities that you would like the
board to take into further consideration?

Members: Discuss & Resolve
ISSUE: Extent of Member Control
To what extent should the cooperative (members) maintain
ownership and operational control over community solar
projects that it helps to develop and subscribe?
Other ways of asking thisโฆ
โขShould CEF act as a finance and engagement management partner on
community solar gardens for which it is not the owner or primary decision
maker?
โขShould members have cooperative ownership of the solar installations
that they subscribe to through CEF?

19. Annual Member Meeting Slide 19
Members: Discuss & Resolve
ISSUE: Extent of Member Control
Sample Resolution A
The CEF Membership resolves that any and all community solar project
partnerships, for which CEF arranges XX% (e.g. 20%) or more of the shares,
shall be arranged so as to allow for complete cooperative ownership and
operational control.
Sample Resolution B
The CEF Membership resolves that the CEF may engage in community solar
partnerships that relinquish cooperative control by CEF members over the
operations of community solar garden owned and operated by partners, to
the extent that there is significant opportunity to make solar shares
available to diverse, local communities.
