Guatemala is considered the most dynamic metropolis in the region and the biggest
economical engine in Central America.
 It has more than 15 million inhabitants which account for 40% of the total population in
the region.
 According to the National Institute of Statistics 70% of the Guatemalan population is
under 40 years old.
International Maritime Commerce
 The national port system is integrated by 3 multipurpose commercial ports which have
specialized terminals, facilities, certifications, and safe and efficient port systems.
International trade in Guatemala is mainly done by sea and it represents 77% of total
imports and exports: a total worth of US $17.16 billion a year, according to the National
Port Commission.
 A total of 18.3 metric tons are handled through its different ports (Puerto Quetzal, Puerto
Barrios, and Puerto Santo Tomas de Castilla) which account for 34% of the total maritime
cargo in Central America.
 Guatemala and its port infrastructure are used as the bridge for exports and imports for El
Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize and Mexico.

building skills in the agricultural and building industries in
Guatemala and the region.

PILOT PROJECTS PROPOSAL
Part of the EBLA business strategy is to execute 3 pilot projects with the CAF Panels. Two projects will be in Guatemala and one in
El Salvador. Through EBLA´s nearly 2 years of due diligence, partnerships have been secured to insure that we are able to place the
alternative building product as part of major projects that will give the CAF panels the visibility it requires for marketing purposes.
Additionally, allowing EBLA to secure profit generating projects that will result in importing panels from Stramit USA for the period
of 6 to 9 months while the CAF technology is fabricated and implemented in Guatemala.
EBLA BUSINESS COMMITMENT – INVESTMENT $32,500 (USD)
• Import 1000 CAF Panels in April 2015
• Coordinate shipment logistics to Stramit USA’s plant in Texas
• Cover container and export fees from the USA
• Cover import fees in Guatemala
• Cover transportation costs from port in Guatemala to warehouse
• Use CAF Panels for its pilot projects to market product in-country and in
the region
• Invest in the marketing study and campaign for the launching of product
in Guatemala
• Invest in certifying the CAF panels in-country in order to implement the
product successfully

• To cover costs of production of the 1000 CAF Panels for Guatemala

CENTRAL AMERICAN BANK FOR ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
To be a strategic partner interested in partnering with EBLA to build sustainable housing communities creating mortgage programs for low-income
families. This will take place as soon as we have the CAF technology in country.
FORMER FIRST LADIES OF GUATEMALA and EL SALVADOR
Have been building social housing projects and are interested in using an alternative product to develop social housing projects for low-income families.
Mayor Edwin Escobar of the City of Villa Nueva and his team
oversee the second largest city of Guatemala with 700,000
residents.
Discussions are underway with the Mayor’s housing contract
authority to build housing and schools for the city of Villa Nueva.
Currently municipality constructs the schools with wood panels
and housing with cement and block.

H.E. Vanda Pignato, Secretary of Social Inclusion seeks to partner with EBLA to build a
social housing sector for Women. To date Ciudad Mujer (Women City) provides
services to more than 50,000 women annually.
