Out Motivations for Applying
41. UKCOL Agri Summit 2021 – Webinar Q&A
Are we applying once or three times for different talks etc?
One application will cover you for all parts of the summit if you are one of the 15 successful
companies
Is this an opportunity to get funding to be able to offer tech in Colombia, or is this fully funded by
the British company?
There is an opportunity to receive some funding, please watch the Q&A session on the webinar to
hear the full answer
Is this an opportunity to trade in Colombia or the possibility to find investors?
It is an opportunity to build relationships with Colombian businesses, which in turn could lead to
trading in Colombia
For the Agri Risk Management programme, will the Terms of Reference mean that the bank or
Govt owns any solutions. Is there opportunity for platforms (for example animal decision support)
which would deliver some of the components requested to be a part of these solutions?
Currently the risk management programme is supporting national agencies to develop digital
platforms that will model and manage big data sets for climate, market and financial information.
Unfortunately, most projects have been procured and the only one in the pipeline is a capacity
building activity. I´m happy to share additional information about the ongoing projects.
Does your service apply to ANY Logistics product supply? (Question to Trade in Space)
We are most interested in agricultural goods, and we use analysis of observation images to create
tradable contracts - but we also would like to incorporate IoT sensors in a future version so that we
can monitor those goods though through the transport / logistics chain. But we haven't done that
yet
