Division 16 Electrical: Parking Lot Lighting
1. Main Service Disconnecting Means and Lighting Controls
A specific listing of the number and sizes of the new 480v 3ph disconnect means, the
480v 3ph lighting contactors and photo eyes needed for the project, and all there
locations need to be, shown clearly on the project blueprints.
2. Underground Conduit
A specific listing of the number of conduit runs, the size of the schedule 40 PVC conduit
runs, the number and size of pull boxes, the number and size of the THWN circuit
conductors that are to be install for the parking lot lighting and all the conduit runs,
locations need to be, shown clearly on the project blueprints.
3. Sono Tube Bases
A specific list of the number of sono tube bases. The size of the sono tube bases, the
number and size of the rebar cages for the sono tube bases, the size and total number of
galvanized anchor bolts, washers and nuts for securing the parking lot lighting poles, and
the locations of the sono tube bases need to be, shown clearly on the project blueprints.
4. Equipment and Material To Be Furnished Including Quantity and Time
Requirements
Material purchase orders need to show exactly what items have been, purchased
(the conduit size and number of feet, the size and number of bell end, male and female
adapters, the size and number of rigid 90’s, the number and size of pull boxes, the size
and number of sono tubes, wire type, size and number of feet, number of waterproof
splice kits etc.) What supplier will supply the concrete for the sono tube bases for the
light standards? How much concrete will be required for all the sono tube bases? What
rental equipment is required, for how long is it need, and what does it, cost?

5. Parking Lot Light Poles
Who is the supplier for the parking lot light poles? What is the lead-time for ordering the
parking lot light poles to make sure they are, delivered in enough time that they can be,
installed on time according to the project schedule? Where can they be stored on site
once they have been, delivered prior to installation to prevent them from being damaged
or stolen?
6. Unit Pricing Schedule
If, the owner asks for any additional parking lot lighting features to be installed other then
what is, shown on the project blueprints once the contract is, signed by the owner. Then a
change order signed by the owner will be required for the work, the material or the
equipment that are, needed to complete the project and unit pricing schedule needs to be,
completed.
