Description Target Corporation has developed an In house Warehouse Management system,
application for distribution center which is known as 3D Vision.

Objective of 3D Vision is to serve the request of the Stores for a Distribution Center
(DC). The Store requests are met by procuring merchandise from a vendor (which the
host system does). The Distribution Center (DC) schedules and receives the
merchandise. The received merchandise is then palletized (if necessary) and shipped
to the Stores or Warehouse as per the Distribution received from the host.
ATLAS aims at automating a few processes in the RDC warehouse by using the
automated warehousing system (Miniload) provided by Swisslog. The existing 3D
application needs to be enhanced to interface with the Miniload.

Shipping system monitors the activities involved in hiring a vessel. This has got 4 modules
• Vessel costing – Here features of the vessel and the proposed voyage are fed-in along with expected
expenses. The system then calculates the net freight based on the expenses, stay time and sail time.
• Laytime – Here demurrage & despatch amount are calculated based on the loading and unloading
details fed in from the ports.
• Bunker module – Fueling the takes place at different ports are captured and reports are generated
based on that to monitor bunker expenses.
• Financial module – Payables, Receivables and adjustments to these using Debit/Credit notes are
handled here.
DMS module is the module used by OLAM International to calculate Metrics of the Debit and credit for the
Journal Creation, Treasury Department. First of all given document is scanned and stored in a PDF format
file, software will download data in SQL server, pre inserting in ORA Table and in OLAM_DMS_DATA table
to Journalize the document, first of all using the olam_dms_data_correction an procedure and function are
written, then Trimming, Linking journalize are done to 80% journalize the Scanned document.

Transfer JOB data from different locations to Different Locations, consists of Banbury worksheet, general Tyre
worksheet, Tyre building curing worksheet, worksheet data upload and Master data refresh and transfer.

Project Description: MRF Project, Automates the JOB data Transfer using ETP (file transfer protocol) tool
done in VB application, basically the super user willenter the entire shift data, using the Data transfer tool will call the
Exe and update the status to “U” and after transferring the data the VB application will update the status to “T” and
“S” performed in location. Also purge screen will delete the data from locations, delete the data by keeping one month
data as backup. This master data refresh and transfer button is also mainly used for transferring data from central
location to location, before transferring the data.
It will invoke logtables procedure, this is done if any changes has been performed in the apps database,
after inserting into the logtables, updated in the different locations.

Project Description:
The LAMP (Legal Aid Management Portal) for Singapore Ministry of Law to replace one of their current
systems with a fully integrated web-based solution.
The Singapore Ministry of Law Setup a Legal Aid Bureau (LAB), in order to provide a means of equal access
to justice for individuals with limited financial means. The services provided to bonafide cases can be categorized
into 3 areas, namely Legal Assistance, Legal Aid, Legal advice.
Processing of application for legal aid and subsequent service rendering in LAB are by and large manual
with dependency of paper forms. Processing each of these involves sharing of paper documents by different

individuals. As expected, physical file movements result in longer turnaround time and greater reliance on clerical
staff. With case folders, it also means that LAB officers are unable to access information simultaneously.
Recognizing these limitations and the need to improve client service, MinLaw selected Nova to implement a
Legal Aid Management Portal based on PAVO, Nova’s own collaborative.

time card entries based on training attendance and the newly acquired skills in the resource management database.

Database, for estimating and planning software projects. Projects are also required to generate metrics for use during

Project Description: System Perakaunan Berkomputer Standard Kerajaan Negeri (SPEKS) is a Financial
Accounting system for Government of Malaysia. System involves modules like General Ledger, Budget, Payroll,
Subsidiary Ledger, Loan and Fixed Asset.

Loan: The Loan System is to manage information regarding loans taken from Treasury and loans granted
to the Government Agencies / Statutory Bodies. The Loan system, includes calculation of Repayment Schedule, Due
date Checking, Over Due Checking, reconciliation procedures of loan transactions etc.
Fixed Asset: The Fixed Asset system revolves around storing and processing information of newly
purchased asset or payments made towards an existing asset. Among the processes that can be performed in the
system are creations and maintenance of asset master details, asset maintenance, asset depreciation, asset transfer,
asset inquiry and generation of various management reports.
Subsidiary Ledger: The Subsidiary Ledger System involves and maintains the application process for
car, computer and housing loans, Personal advance, furniture rental and rental on government quarters.
Payroll: The Payroll system involves with maintenance of employee master details, employees’ salary,
allowance and deduction details, generation of pay slips, interface of payment details to the General Ledger system,
auto pay to various banks and generation of various payroll reports.
General Ledger: The General Ledger maintains ledger transactions and maintains following account Vote
account, Trust account, Revenue account, Bank account, All accounts are maintained for two years: current year and
previous year.
Budget: The budget basically an accounts package, which has to interact with several other modules like
General Ledger, ADMIN, and Data control etc. On considering the allocation of the funds “Warrant Documents” are
maintained and this warrant document will be approved by department level and state level. After verifying and
approving the New Project Information, proposed funds for that project can be stored in the system. Corresponding
Report Listing the revenue information, operating Expenditure information etc., can be prepared / verified by this
system.
