#inspireACTION
National Conference rocked the Windy City – Chocolatiers came
home on fire with training, new products and sales tools and lit up
July with sales and recruits. All over the country, Chocolatiers are
inspiring others to host and join. It’s called the “conference effect,”
and it comes from the energy and knowledge shared there.
Check out highlights on the following pages and in the Conference
Wrap-Up page on your Chocolatier Connection. Didn’t go?
Find a friend who did and ask them to inspire you.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that chocolate is NOT good for you!!!
How many people say they attended a 3 day chocolate conference
and lost 3 pounds? I CAN!!! Missing it so much, and just had
a blast! Hope all you Chocolatiers are having a great week
back and I really enjoyed meeting you!

I’m still on this post National Conference
High. And can’t wait until the next one in
DENVER. Since I’ve been home, my whole
team has gone from having just a few par-
ties to BOOKING 40! AND...so far, 2 new
recruits! I know now why everyone has
said they LOVE conference.

FROMTHEPRESIDENT
A welcome letter
Hello Chocolatiers!
Last month, around 500 of you joined us in Chicago to celebrate your businesses, your friendships,
your goals and achievements. I don’t know if it was the sheer number of you, but the energy in the room
– opening day to the Maui announcement - surpassed any conference I can remember. It’s that same
energy that enables you to inspire action in others every day.
You’re already doing it! I am excited every time I see you share your belief in the DCD opportunity
with others – posting video challenges and testimonials, and holding local and regional meetings that
pack rooms across the U.S.
Remember the lesson of Tami Evans our motivational speaker at National Conference, we don’t
have to be perfect - just passionate and fearless. We all have “pantyhose” moments – so what? Life
is good, especially at DCD. Applying your passion and “no-limits” attitude to everything you do is the
single-most powerful skill you can bring to your business, your life, and the lives of those around you.
As we wrap up the summer selling season, I urge you to party often this month as you share our
new catalog and products. Don’t forget … triple points for recruiting and double points for selling this
month will have you earning a FREE trip to Maui. And for those who join in August, our free Sup-
plement Kit offer is a powerful proposition to attract new people to your team.
The key to this business can be summed up in three words: BOOK … PARTY… RECRUIT.
A consistent flow of parties results in a consistent flow of income, recruits, Maui trip points… and in fact,
more parties that continue to deliver all the benefits DCD has to offer.
Have a great summer and remember to inspire action everyday in your life and the lives of others.
Make money! Meet me in Maui!
Best Wishes,
3
Excitement in
the windy city!
So I’m not usually a sharer on here but I just had to.
Last night I had my first party in a while, thanks to
conference, and all my awesome chocolate family. I had
the confidence to go in and ROCK IT! I signed the hostess,
had a $500 party, and got another recruit lead out of state.
If you’re ever on the fence about going to conference, PLC,
or any other training...JUST GO! You’ll be happy you did.

Theresa Wendrickx Sr. Manager (IN)
What most excites you about your business?
The people. I see woman and men making a difference every-
day in their lives, the lives of their families, in strangers lives,
who then become family. It's the people. I am very blessed
because of the people this company has brought to me.
How are you inspiring others to earn Maui?
I am showing them it isn't for the elite to earn it. It is for every-
one. It is so simple to put on paper and show someone the
plan for earning it, then helping them make the paper come to
life. It's exciting and fun. Everyone loves earning a trip for
FREE, and when it's exciting and fun, it's not "work".. ;)
Cara Hausman Manager, IN
What most excites you about your business?
The product itself. It's so EASY to share with others. When
I look across the room and see smiling faces, it relaxes me.
When you know that you have a great product to stand
behind - it builds your confidence, and that helps build
your business!
How are you inspiring others to earn Maui?
A strong personal business isTHE KEY to earning the trip!
We must book 12 shows, if we want 10 to hold. Host coaching
really helps if we want to hit our sales and recruiting goals!
Do a full service checkout at every show. Then, most
importantly, we must follow up! Plug into the system that
DCD has given us - trust the process... it works!

Awards to honor Chocolatiers who were nominated
by their peers as truly exemplifying the benchmarks
of our culture and success.
Abundance Abby Helin, MO
Approaches the business with a sharing spirit, inclusive attitude, and unwavering belief
in the endless opportunities DCD provides for personal growth, financial independence,
and boundless happiness.
“I am honored to represent all chocolatiers who work just as hard in their businesses
to be the best they can, representing the best chocolate company. This business has
been a blessing, and we are very fortunate for what it is.” – Abby Helin
Passion Theresa Wendrickx, IN
Exudes enthusiasm for, and a powerful emotional connection to DCD’s opportunity—
so strongly, she feels obligated to share it with others.
“I have shed tears over this award this week numerous times. I have never been so
humbled and honored. When you have a personality like mine, you appreciate those
that love you for exactly who you are.” – Theresa Wendrickx
Support Shelley Whitmarsh-Beal, NV
Mentors, coaches and trains to help others achieve their personal and/or professional goals,
while exhibiting a geniune interest in the lives of others.
“I think the best thing that can happen to you in this business is being recognized by
your team and peers. It validates you are doing the right things in your business,
not only for yourself, but for others” – Shelley Whitmarsh-Beal
InspirationJessica Jones, CA
Inspires others to greatness to achieve more, to overcome obstacles, or to succeed
in the face of adversity.
“I have been through many ups and downs through my 5 years with DCD, and to see
that others felt inspiration from my journey is confirmation that it's always worth it to
keep moving forward.” – Jessica Jones

What’s your favorite summer
tradition?
Tubing down the Madison River. It’s
like a floating lawn chair in the
sunshine—love it!
Hot Dogs or Hamburgers?
Hamburgers with mustard and pickles!
What’s the best summer vacation
you’ve ever been on?
It’s hard to choose, but I love camping
and loved a family vacation we took to
Twin Lakes, MT. Tents, hot dogs, camp
fires, marshmallows, starry skies—what
could be better?
Chef Shane Maack
Research & Development
What’s your favorite summer
tradition?
I love cooking on the grill! I do it even
when there is snow on the ground, but I
prefer doing it during the summer be-
cause I don’t have to run in and out of
the house to keep from freezing!!
Hot Dogs or Hamburgers?
Yes, please!
What’s the best summer vacation
you’ve ever been on?
When I was kid, my family jumped into
our van and we did a tour of the South-
western U.S. and Mexico. We saw
awesome and exciting places like the
Grand Canyon and California beaches.
I also tried incredible new foods like fish
tacos from street vendors in Mexico.
It’s astounding how much you can see
and do when you just drive somewhere!
Jenn Shortino,
Field Services Representative
What’s your favorite summer
tradition?
The Shortino Family Picnic is my
favorite! Great food and the family
hangs out all day and catches up on
everything.
Hot Dogs or Hamburgers?
Hamburgers!!
What’s the best summer vacation
you’ve ever been on?
It’s so hard to choose one, but the first
one that came to mind was our first
Disney Cruise in 2011. We went with
another family and it was just so much
fun and relaxing. It was 5 nights on the
Disney Dream and we went to their
private Bahamas Island Castaway Cay
and Naussau. It was just a great
experience for all of us.

All over the country, Chocolatiers are inspiring others to host and join. It’s called the “conference effect,” and it comes from the energy and knowledge shared there. Check out highlights on the following pages and in the Conference Wrap-Up page on your Chocolatier Connection. Didn’t go? Find a friend who did and ask them to inspire you. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that chocolate is NOT good for you!!! How many people say they attended a 3 day chocolate conference and lost 3 pounds? I CAN!!! Missing it so much, and just had a blast! Hope all you Chocolatiers are having a great week back and I really enjoyed meeting you! Harry N Karen Bailey July 15 at 8:32 pm I’m still on this post National Conference High. And can’t wait until the next one in DENVER. Since I’ve been home, my whole team has gone from having just a few par- ties to BOOKING 40! AND...so far, 2 new recruits! I know now why everyone has said they LOVE conference. Sara Borton July 25 at 11:17 am
  • 2. 2 FROMTHEPRESIDENT A welcome letter Hello Chocolatiers! Last month, around 500 of you joined us in Chicago to celebrate your businesses, your friendships, your goals and achievements. I don’t know if it was the sheer number of you, but the energy in the room – opening day to the Maui announcement - surpassed any conference I can remember. It’s that same energy that enables you to inspire action in others every day. You’re already doing it! I am excited every time I see you share your belief in the DCD opportunity with others – posting video challenges and testimonials, and holding local and regional meetings that pack rooms across the U.S. Remember the lesson of Tami Evans our motivational speaker at National Conference, we don’t have to be perfect - just passionate and fearless. We all have “pantyhose” moments – so what? Life is good, especially at DCD. Applying your passion and “no-limits” attitude to everything you do is the single-most powerful skill you can bring to your business, your life, and the lives of those around you. As we wrap up the summer selling season, I urge you to party often this month as you share our new catalog and products. Don’t forget … triple points for recruiting and double points for selling this month will have you earning a FREE trip to Maui. And for those who join in August, our free Sup- plement Kit offer is a powerful proposition to attract new people to your team. The key to this business can be summed up in three words: BOOK … PARTY… RECRUIT. A consistent flow of parties results in a consistent flow of income, recruits, Maui trip points… and in fact, more parties that continue to deliver all the benefits DCD has to offer. Have a great summer and remember to inspire action everyday in your life and the lives of others. Make money! Meet me in Maui! Best Wishes,
  • 3. 3 Excitement in the windy city! So I’m not usually a sharer on here but I just had to. Last night I had my first party in a while, thanks to conference, and all my awesome chocolate family. I had the confidence to go in and ROCK IT! I signed the hostess, had a $500 party, and got another recruit lead out of state. If you’re ever on the fence about going to conference, PLC, or any other training...JUST GO! You’ll be happy you did. Marie Field Mayes July 15 at 8:21 am • Egg Harbor Township, NJ To see more photos from National Conference, please visit http://bit.ly/1JcKieh

I see woman and men making a difference every- day in their lives, the lives of their families, in strangers lives, who then become family. It's the people. I am very blessed because of the people this company has brought to me. How are you inspiring others to earn Maui? I am showing them it isn't for the elite to earn it. It is for every- one. It is so simple to put on paper and show someone the plan for earning it, then helping them make the paper come to life. It's exciting and fun. Everyone loves earning a trip for FREE, and when it's exciting and fun, it's not "work".. ;) Cara Hausman Manager, IN What most excites you about your business? The product itself. It's so EASY to share with others. When I look across the room and see smiling faces, it relaxes me. When you know that you have a great product to stand behind - it builds your confidence, and that helps build your business! How are you inspiring others to earn Maui? A strong personal business isTHE KEY to earning the trip! We must book 12 shows, if we want 10 to hold. Host coaching really helps if we want to hit our sales and recruiting goals! Do a full service checkout at every show. Then, most importantly, we must follow up! Plug into the system that DCD has given us - trust the process... it works!

  • 13. snapshots! Home Office Hilary Biggerstaff Field Development Manager What’s your favorite summer tradition? Tubing down the Madison River. It’s like a floating lawn chair in the sunshine—love it! Hot Dogs or Hamburgers? Hamburgers with mustard and pickles! What’s the best summer vacation you’ve ever been on? It’s hard to choose, but I love camping and loved a family vacation we took to Twin Lakes, MT. Tents, hot dogs, camp fires, marshmallows, starry skies—what could be better? Chef Shane Maack Research & Development What’s your favorite summer tradition? I love cooking on the grill! I do it even when there is snow on the ground, but I prefer doing it during the summer be- cause I don’t have to run in and out of the house to keep from freezing!! Hot Dogs or Hamburgers? Yes, please! What’s the best summer vacation you’ve ever been on? When I was kid, my family jumped into our van and we did a tour of the South- western U.S. and Mexico. We saw awesome and exciting places like the Grand Canyon and California beaches. I also tried incredible new foods like fish tacos from street vendors in Mexico. It’s astounding how much you can see and do when you just drive somewhere! Jenn Shortino, Field Services Representative What’s your favorite summer tradition? The Shortino Family Picnic is my favorite! Great food and the family hangs out all day and catches up on everything. Hot Dogs or Hamburgers? Hamburgers!! What’s the best summer vacation you’ve ever been on? It’s so hard to choose one, but the first one that came to mind was our first Disney Cruise in 2011. We went with another family and it was just so much fun and relaxing. It was 5 nights on the Disney Dream and we went to their private Bahamas Island Castaway Cay and Naussau. It was just a great experience for all of us. 13
