The Final

       BBST 360
     The Pentateuch
1. Identify the three major covenants undergirding the
Pentateuch in terms of their Biblical references, their
recipient(s), their content, and their impact on the rest of the
Pentateuch.
2. One remarkable fact about the book of Exodus is how much
it depends on the material contained in the book of Genesis.
Identify and discuss at least four (4) themes and motifs begun in
the book of Genesis that resurface in a significant way in the
book of Exodus.
3. The Hebrew Bible term Torah can be enigmatic for readers of
the Old Testament. Why is this and what sort(s) of theological
error(s) can this lead the unsuspecting English Bible reader into?
In other words, what is Torah when properly conceived and what
was its theological significance for the Pentateuch?
4. When viewed in its context within the Pentateuch what is the
occasion, purpose, and theological significance of the book of
Numbers?
5. List the Ten Commandments, in order, as they appear in either
Exodus or Deuteronomy and indicate from which representation
you have written.
