tips.
Name the following without repeating the same names or sources:

 Author of a seminal or classic book still relevant in your industry
 Identify the conference held by your industry
 Collect the names of 3 speakers not at the first conference (find that second conference)
 Research the expertise of all these speakers
 Retrieve the syllabus from one of the speakers presenting
 Find the industry Blogger
 Locate the industry Twitter person
 Identify the government regulations associated with your industry
 Collect the magazines focused on your industry
 List at least 3 associations dedicated to your industry
 Research and identify recent legislation affecting your industry
 Find the senate and house representatives supporting your industry
 Name the lobbyist or congressional member who wrote the legislation that affects your industry
 Identify 5 lobbyist firms associated with your industry
 List 5 colleges who has degree programs specifically for your industry
 Name the seven key functional behaviors associated with your industry or job
 Document the five top processes associated with your industry
 Research the 5 software companies associated with your industry
 Identify the top 5 suppliers for your industry
 Name the 2 government agencies assigned to your industry
Linkedin.Com or company web site specific homework:
 Find 49 groups associated with your industry
 Join those 49 groups immediately
 Connect to the group owners of those 49 groups
 Connect to the speakers you found
 Connect to the authors you found
 Connect to the leadership of the associations you found
 Connect to the conference organizers
 Connect to the Blogger
 Connect to the Twitter person
 Connect to the government agency
 Connect to the magazine focused on your industry
