Consider the benefits of knowing which jobs are hot now and not in 6-weeks? Consider the
benefits of knowing who to contact directly when you find that job posting?
We can do that with certain keywords and phrases!
It may not happen for many jobs or that often but we take the advantage every chance we
can, right?
These keywords are different as they are based on natural phrasing; the semantics of how
people talk naturally. Recruiters under pressure will make a call-to-action request in the job
description. Here are some samples to watch for:
Immediate “Contact me” “Send me”
ASAP “Give me a call” “Email me”
Now “Call me” “Email me at”
New “Please Call” “Send your resume”
The actual search string would be variations of the job specific keywords and the recruiter
plea for action phrases:
“project manager” immediate “email me” “call me” “send your resume”
“graphic designer” AND Immediate AND “phone number”
“admin assistant” AND ASAP AND “Call Me”
Job titles, jargon and or methods used in the industry seem natural when searching for a
job. Combine them with plea for action phrasing for maximum results.
Not all job boards require the Boolean search operator “AND.” Not all job boards allow for
quoted phrases either. Test the search with and without to know which produces the best
results.
These tactic works on virtually any commercial job board, aggregate job board or social
media sites like:
Monster.Com Indeed.Com LinkedIn.Com
Dice.Com SimplyHired.Com
Careerbuilder.Com Beyond.Com
Start simple and compare your results for the best combination of job and recruiter-plea
for-action keywords as you learn how each web site executes search strings.

The commercial job boards user-input options change frequently.
In this example we have to split the job keywords out from the recruiter plea-for-action
keywords but we still get results.
