I am an experienced and driven software developer who is specialized in the analysis of technical and scientific
problems in the field of energy technology and thermodynamics, translates solutions into software and publishes
the results in high-ranked scientific journals. I am a reliable, solution-oriented en self-employed worker with a
strong analytic capacity and flexible attitude. What energizes me is working in multi disciplinary teams.
Work experience
• 2016 – , iTernergy, Researcher and Scientific Software Engineer
As owner and founder of iTernergy, it is my mission to provide solutions for thermodynamics and energy
related scientific problems by delivering consultancy, carrying out research, and developing software
supporting these tasks.
• 2016 – , Delft University of Technology, Propulsion Power Group, Guest Researcher
Employment as a researcher, being a specialist in thermodynamics and thermophysical properties, developing
thermodynamic models of fluids in combination with high level scientific software development.
• 2013 – 2016, Delft University of Technology, Aerospace Engineering Faculty, Propulsion Power, Research
Associate
Employment as a researcher, being a specialist in thermodynamics and thermophysical properties, developing
thermodynamic models of fluids in combination with high level scientific software development.
• 1986 – 2013, Delft University of Technology, 3mE Faculty, Process & Energy Department, Energy
Technology Section, Scientific Software Engineer.
During this period I have gradually developed, at first instance, as a software developer (programming
languages: Fortran and C/C++) who also carries out research and educational activities to especially a
researcher who develops software and publishes his results in scientific journals. In May 2011 I was invited to
come to the University of Brescia, Italy, in order to exchange knowledge and to collaborate on writing a paper.
Education
• PhD. course “Advanced Course on Thermodynamic Models: Fundamentals and Computational aspects”,
Technical University of Denmark, two weeks, January, 2008.
• Short higher education in information science and additional courses on software development, Open
University, Heerlen, study load 1200 hours, 1989-1995. Certificate “Short higher education information
science”: July 1992
• HTS Dordrecht, Mechanical engineering, 1980 – 1984
