BEST INVEST 2018 is an educational and networking event that is held in Cyprus, now in its fourth year. It includes a Conference, an Exhibition and Presentations of Investment Projects, a Business Cocktail Reception, a Cyprus-India Working Meeting and number of seminars and workshops. The event will overview the investment market of Cyprus and current Cyprus economy status and look into maximizing opportunities in the real estate sector which is now seeing institutional and international investment increase. Participants will hear about innovations and new opportunities, understand how developers and investors structure their deals, and learn about the market's future. There will also be a detailed market update foreign countries that are neighbours of Cyprus or may be considered competitors of Cyprus in attracting foreign investors. The panels will also review current investment trends, looking at who is involved and how the market is therefore evolving, as well as examining in detail how to design, deliver and manage successful investment operations.

H.E. Mr. Yiorgos Lakkotrypis
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism
Yiorgos Lakkotrypis studied Mathematics and Computer Science (BSc) at the University of Keele in the UK
(1988-1991). He completed his postgraduate studies in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of
Colorado in the USA, on a Fulbright scholarship (1993-1995).
In 2003 he was the first employee hired by Microsoft in Cyprus, entrusted with developing the company’s
operations in the country.
In 2009 he was also appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Natural Gas Public Company
(DEFA), a position he held until his appointment as Minister of Commerce.
Mr. Lakkotrypis assumed office as Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism on March 1st 2013. On the
1st of March 2018 Mr. Lakkotrypis was appointed as the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism for
the next term.
Natasa Pilides
Deputy Minister of Shipping
A multi-lingual Oxford University graduate and a fellow chartered accountant of the ICAEW, Ms. Pilides served
as the Director General of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (“Invest Cyprus”) for the past two years. Her
work experience includes more than twelve years in the private sector, including nine years at PwC in Cyprus,
Milan and London. She was also the Regional Chief Operating Officer for BakerTilly in South East Europe, heading
the departments of Finance, Marketing, HR, Administration, Operations and IT for Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Bul-
garia and Moldova. Her experience includes training and delivering courses both for professional staff and ICAEW,
ACCA and CIMA students, in the areas of audit, tax, corporate law, financial accounting and reporting with BPP,
one of the leading professional studies organisations in London and internationally.
H.E. Dr. R.K. Raghavan
Hiqh Commissioner of India to Cyprus
Appointed High Commissioner of India to Cyprus on August 29, 2017 and arrived in Cyprus on 1st Novem-
ber, 2017.
Born in 1941 and educated in Madras (now Chennai), joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1963. Served
as Inspector General and Director-General (Vigilance & Corruption) Tamil Nadu Police (1988-1999); Direc-
tor, Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI), Government of India, New Delhi (January 1999 to April 2001).
Post retirement from the IPS, was a visiting fellow at Harvard Law School; Advisor, Tata Consultancy Ser-
vices, Mumbai (2002 onwards); Member, Board of Governors, Bharathidasan Institute of Management,
Tamil Nadu; Member, Board of Jindal Global Law University, New Delhi (2010 onwards); and, Member,
International Advisory Board, Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University, UK (2012 onwards).
Nicos Nicolaides
Mayor of Limassol
Born in 1953. Holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College (USA) and an MSc
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USA).
From 2008 – 2010 he served as Minister of Communications and Works. In May 2011 he was elected a
Member of the Parliament with the Cyprus Social Democratic Movement. He was a member of four parlia-
mentary committees, Finance, Communications and Works, Legal and Agriculture and the ad hoc Committee
for Cyprus Airways. As an MP he participated in the Cyprus Delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe, where he was a member of the Committee of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, and the
Committee of Culture, Science, Education and Media. In June 2013 he was elected as the Chairman of the
Sub-Committee on Culture, Diversity and Heritage.
Costas St. Galatariotis
Executive Chairman of the Galatariotis Group of Companies, an Executive Chairman
of C.C.C. Tourist Enterprises Public Company Ltd
Costas St. Galatariotis studied Economics, Industry and Commerce at the London School of Economics and
Political Science. Galatariotis is an Executive Chairman of the Galatariotis Group of Companies, an Executive
Chairman of C.C.C. Tourist Enterprises Public Company Ltd and a member of Boards of Directors of several
private and public companies. He is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Cyprus Tourist
Enterprises (ACTE), Chairman of the Audit Committee of Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Limited.
Mr. Costas St. Galatariotis has served as Honorary Consul General of Japan in Cyprus from 2007 until 2012.

President of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association.
He is also the Chairman of the Cyprus-Slovakia Business Association, a member of the Board of the Cyprus Invest-
ment Promotion Agency and a member of the Board of the Internal Audit Committe of the Government.
With over 30 years of experience as a member of KPMG’s Tax network, Mr. Gregoriades has participated in nu-
merous merger, acquisition and corporate restructuring operations at both national and international level.
Theodore Panayotou
CIIM Director
Dr. Theodore Panayotou, 2007 NOBEL Peace Prize Contributor, is Professor of Economics and Ethics and Di-
rector of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), Visiting Professor at Tel Aviv University and
Member of the Cyprus President’s Council of the National Economy. He taught Environment & Development
Economics for 25 years at Harvard University where he served as Director of the Environment and Sustainable
Development Program at the Centre for International Development.
In the early 2000s in cooperation with Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Harvard (now at Columbia), Dr. Panayotou esti-
mated econometrically and valued the economic impacts of climate change on different regions of the world and
proposed a scheme of Compensation for Meaningful Participation in Climate Change Control.
In the years leading to the Kyoto Protocol, Dr. Panayotou contributed to the development of Joint Implementa-
tion, Emissions Trading and the Clean Development Mechanism.
Captain Eberhard Koch

Capt. Koch received his diploma in Nautical Sciences (Dipl-Naut.) at Hochschule fuer Nautik in Bremen (University
of Bremen) in 1974.

Anna is the founder of Fiduciana Trust (Cyprus) Limited. Prior to that Anna worked in managerial positions within
several large law firms of the island and since 2007 has served as CEO of IFG Trust (Cyprus) Limited, international
trust and corporate services company. Anna is a professional in all aspects of immigration and spends most of her
time advising wealthy individuals and their families on citizenship issues.
In 2015 Anna has also founded Leisure Life Property Management, which provides immigration services, a con-
cierge service for ultra-wealthy people and services in property management.
She graduated from the Keele University in the UK, with a dual bachelor degree in law and international politics,
then completed a legal practice course (LPC) in Chester (UK). She is a member of STEP, ITPA and IMG (Interna-

Georges Chehwane graduated from Université St. Joseph in Beirut with a masters degree in economical
science.
In 1992 Mr. Chehwane established Plus Holding that started in the advertising field with Group Plus Media,

Dubai and Bahrain. In 2007 Plus Properties was established as a Real Estate development company, active
