Marcellus Haley_________
Marcellus Haley was born in Memphis Tennessee. His parents James and Sharon
Blair supported him to sing at New Life Missionary Baptist Church.
As a teen ager he realized that he had a natural talent for directing music and began
to direct the church choir. At the age of 18, he joined Full Gospel Tabernacle which
was under the leadership of Rev. Al Green. Marcellus grew from director to minister
of music leading the entire music department.
He has performed background singer for Rev. Al Green and Shirley Brown. He was
open act for Bobby Womack, Tyrone Davis, Sir Charles Jones, Shirley Murdock,
Denise Williams, The O’ Jays, Clarence Carter, Latimore, Floyd Taylor Johnny
Taylor, The Three Degrees, Dorothy More, The Emotions, The Honey Combs, A
Taste of Honey, J Blackfoot, Queen Ann Hines, Toni Green, Sheba Potts Wright,
Marvin Sease, Willie Clayton. He gave back to the community by engaging in many
free concerts at local schools and nursing homes. He has donated his soulful sound
to projects such as Africa in April and Memphis in May.
With Marcellus Haley new single “MAN TO MAN” the Southern Soul vocalist makes a
convincing case for the value of life experience. In 2012, Marcellus first single “YO
DADDY”GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU earned him international success.
Marcellus Haley’s performance is often classified as the soul of new romantic
