Absolutely fantastic! Easily the best production of this type I’ve ever seen. Abby is out to
the theater this evening, so I doubt you’ll hear from her tonight. Congratulations to all! You
are as good as they come, Sue. I have to think this one is going to win big awards in the ad
community. Subject is great, timing (9/11) is right. Came together beautifully.

A program of the Sacramento Children’s Home, the Sacramento Crisis
Nurseries support families in crisis. In time of need, parents can voluntarily
leave their child in a loving, safe, homelike environment while they resolve
their problems. The Nurseries focus on children, up to age 6, believed to be
the most vulnerable to the risk of abuse and neglect. Over the past 10 years
the nurseries have helped more than 2,800 children and their families.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous underwriter, all proceeds from

Ending the Cycle of Abuse...
through active family intervention, counselingand treatment we end the cycle of abuse thatcan be passed from generation to generation. We protect the littlest ones by offering a safe, supportive environment during times of crisis.Through home visitation and the SacramentoCrisis Nurseries, we care for babies and toddlerswhile helping their parents work through verydifficult times.
Throughout our long history, the community hasbeen the most important element in the careof children in our charge. From the inception ofthe original orphanage in 1867 to sponsoringprograms today, individuals, businesses andorganizations support the Sacramento Children’sHome. This support adds immeasurably to thequality of care we can provide.
From the newborn baby at the Crisis Nursery tothe young adult in the Transition Age Program,we work to make lives better every day. Thereward comes with the phone call or letter from aformer resident or graduated family telling us,“I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for theSacramento Children’s Home. Thank you.”

S
ince 1867, the Sacramento Children’s
Home has provided thousands and
thousands of children with a safe place to
call home. Once an orphanage, today SCH helps
children and families build better lives. We are
committed to:
Helping Build Strong Families...
by teaching parents to meet the developmental
needs of their children. Our community
programs based in Family Resource Centers,
the Crisis Nurseries and counseling centers
provide education, support, ideas, resources and
guidance to help families become strong. Healthy
families result in better students, reduced
teenage pregnancy, decreased reports to Child
Protective Services and stronger communities.
Maximizing Potential...
through overcoming obstacles such as the
effects of complex traumas in the young lives
of children. Through residential and outpatient
programs, children receive the therapy, guidance,
encouragement and care they need to heal
from a troubled past. They begin to trust others,
believe in themselves and know that they are
capable of success.
Opening Doors to the Future...
through education. From our own Pat Anderson
Education Center to the many school-linked
counseling and education services we provide in
the community, we help educate children who
would otherwise be left behind. Our literacy
and parent education programs help children
and families find the “possible.” Our young adult
programs provide youth a bridge to adulthood
and independence.
The Pat Anderson Education Center is the
cornerstone of our education programs
Community donations built the playgrounds at the
