Dr. Surajit Bhattacharjee joined as a
Assistant Professor in the department of
molecular Biology and Bioinformatics,
Tripura University in 2011. His area of
research interest includes Host Pathogen
interaction and Immunoresponse. He has
received research grants from several
national funding agencies like ICMR,
DBT, DST-SERB, BIRAC. He has
reviewed research papers from several
internationally peer-reviewed journals. He
is also associate editor of BMC
Microbiology. He has published more
than 70 research articles in various
international journals. His total citation till
date is more than 3000 and h-index is 24.

  • 9. Faculty profile Dr. Payel Guha joined as a Guest faculty in the Department of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, Tripura University in 2021. She is completed her Ph.D from Kalyani University. She got DST Inspire award. Her area of research interest is Cell signalling, Endocrinology, and Cancer Biology. She published 12 research articles in various international journals. Her total citation till date is 52 and H-index-5 https://www.scopus.com/a uthid/detail.uri?authorId=5 7147112100 Dr. Biraj Sarkar joined as a Guest faculty in the Department of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, Tripura University in 2022. He has completed his Ph.D degree from Calcutta University. His area of research interest is Isolation and characterization of novel actinomycetes. Novel antibiotic production by actinomycetes. He has published more than 5 research paper in various international journals. His area of research interest includes Host Pathogen interaction and Immunoresponse. He has received research grants from several national funding agencies like ICMR, DBT, DST-SERB, BIRAC. He has reviewed research papers from several internationally peer-reviewed journals. He is also associate editor of BMC Microbiology. He has published more than 70 research articles in various international journals. His total citation till date is more than 3000 and h-index is 24. Under his supervision, 3 students have completed their Ph.D. 4 students are currently pursuing PhD research under his guidance.
