3. TREATMENT
• My film is a drama, thriller and crime film, that is based around the main character named John
Fishburne, who is the protagonist of the film. He has recently come back from Afghanistan from the
war and he is experiences post traumatic stress disorder and regularly has flashbacks of his past on
the battlefield. He has obtained a mobile phone with classified information on, that has been
mysteriously been delivered to him by some one in the intelligence community and now its all about
trust and how much he is willing to give away in order to survive.
• The titled of the film is Suspect: No Second Chances as in simple terms its a mission to capture
Fishburne and track his where about to obtain the mobile phone and destroy any threats in the way
of business and this is similar to British films such as The Sweeney.
• The running time of the film is approximately 120 minutes, this is because the structure of the
narrative is enigma as we start in past and it is a puzzle for the audience to sole.
• My film is a UK film as it is filmed in the UK and has lead roles from British actors and themes that
are oriented around issues in the UK society such as drugs abuse and dysfunctional families with
politicians who have created a 'broken society' and this leads to a much wider appeal.
• My film will be a successful UK film as there are UK stars and this will appeal to the UK audiences
and worldwide as my Suspect contains, successful and currently popular actors. We have regional
accents to distinctively make the audience aware of where the film is made and where the UK actor
is from and this can easily be identified by the language they use.
4. STARS
• Idris Elba is playing the lead role of John Fishburne. He is the main role who is
played by Idris Elba as he is the ideal actor to play him as he is the protagonist and is
a strong minded character, who is also passionate and ruthless to get the job done.
He has come in contract with a mobile phone that contained sensitive information of
classified army personnel and complete missions he find that his duty is to keep this
data safe as this is something he can now live for. Idris Elba is known for big his role
in big Hollywood blockbusters such as Pacific Rim and his also known for his hit TV
series Luther, by the BBC that was very successful.
• He is perfect to play John Fishburne as it is a very familiar role for him to play and he
can be a very robust as he can play characters from TV and film.
5. STARS
• Martin Freeman is playing the secondary role as Harrold Harper.
• He is John’s best friend as he has known his from school and they spit when John
decides to join the army after the loss of his late mother. He more confident than John
as he can turn a blind eye to things and can force people into making decisions for
him and pollute the truth. He is brought out of retirement to hunt down the man that
he once worked with. His purpose in the film is for John to answer the questions of his
past and he is corrupted.
• He is played by Martin Freeman as he is a very popular excellent British actor, who
has acted in Sherlock as John Watson and this was successful in America as
American audiences love British traditions and values and he has also been in the
Hobbit as Bilbo Baggins. He was also in Hot Fuzz as Met Sergeant so he has been
in both big budget Hollywood films together with British TV and he will be the ideal
suitor for Harrold Harper as he is a tradition British character that he is synonymous
for.
6. STARS
• Keira Knightley is playing Felicity Jones who is a journalist. She is interested in
finding the truth of serve murders that have gripped the city and teams up with Robert
to find John are where he has been for all these years.
• She is played by Keira Knightley as she is a big British Actress and well known to star
in these types of films as she is an incredible supporting actor for example she is
known for being in the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in
which she was awarded an Teen Choice Award in 2007 and most recently The
Imitation Games which was nominated for an Oscar. She becomes aware of John
and is a double agent as she turns to John’s side when she finds out the truth.
7. STARS
• Liam Neeson is playing Robert Bale who is an Ex Comrade of Fishburnes. He is a
very rough and hopeful character and has worked along side John in the army and
knows his like the back of his hand. He knows details of john past and where he
might be and this leads him to be very challenging.
• He is played by Liam Neeson as he can be a ”bad-ass” at times in terms of putting
people in his place. Liam Neeson is known for his acting credentials as he has been
in a various successful films such as Star Wars: Episode 1 and Batman Begins, he
is known for the Taken series and for action thrillers that are very popular in
Hollywood at the moment. He is perfect for the role as he played very similar roles in
the past and he is a very successful British actor who is loved both in the UK and in
America, so there is international appeal to all of his works as he is always fighting
crime.
8. STARS
• Damian Lewis is playing Harrold Harper, who is a strong British actor who has
played strong roles such as his role in Homeland as is well known for U.S. Marine
Sergeant Nicholas Brody which was very successful in American and he is has
become very successful on the international stage and it earned him an Primetime
Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
• He is very suitable for this film as is a potentially neglected character that is in a
fragile mental state and his searching for a purpose, when he is contacted by Harrold
Harper to execute John Fishburn, something that he is in the business for. Brian
McCall is an independent man who helped assassinate John’s parents, and this will
be delivered to the audience in flashbacks before the war in Afghanistan.
9. UNIQUE SELLING POINT (USP)
• My film is unique as nothing on this scale has been seen before in the cinema and it
stars major British actors that have major appeal both in the UK and in America
therefore many fan bases and it clearly sells to the audience as theses types of films
have influenced cinema incredibly and this has gained interest especially in this genre
being a crime and thriller.
• It has an interesting story line and have interesting ideas that are full of action and
shock the audience.

12. PRODUCTION
• I used post-production techniques when editing my scene in Final Cut, such as
transitions and effects and graphics such as fades from one shot to the next to make
the story flow continuously.
• Effects and graphics are fairly basic as it is a British film and it is not a high end The
camera movement for my film is close ups and mid shots of actions this can be seen
in the test scene with the close ups to the face and the facial expressions.
• Stylistic approaches focus on a first person narrative through out the film which is
focused on John and the way he goes about his daily life.
13. PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
• The film will be released in the Summer Holidays in August 12th 2015 in the UK, this
is the perfect time as the target audience is free to watch the film with friends and
family and there is a lot more time for promotional material.

19. TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience of my film Suspect: No Second Chances, are 15-25 year olds
who have a disposable income and they are interested in the thriller, crime and drama
genre and are interested in British films made and produced in the UK, this is the
primary audience and the secondary audience are young adults who are interested in
the cast and are fans of them, for example Liam Neeson who has stared in the Taken
and this has a huge fan base which is worldwide and this audience will more or likely be
interested in this new film along side other high profile British actors such, Idris Elba and
Keira Knightley.
This film appeals to the target audience as it is very appealing through the concept and
the message that it brings along with it, the secondary audience will be interested in the
crime and thriller genre in a UK film, they will have experienced a crime in first hand or
been involved and therefor this film will have much more appeal.
