Telemarketing was first started by some housewives
calling people and trying to find cookie buyers. At this
point, telemarketing was not used very much.
By 1965, telemarketing was beginning to become more
recognized and telemarketers started to get
professional training.

8. According to, Cron and Decarlo (2010, 166) :
Firstly, “customer service” provides a
helpline for customers’
questions.
Secondly, “prospecting and lead
qualification” helps telemarketers to call
prospects or qualify customers for face-to-
face selling.
Thirdly, “account management” should
concentrate on smaller customer groups in
order to free salesmen to concentrate on
larger customers.

and can add value to a newspaper ad for

report published by Counterpoint Technology Market

the handset market this year
According to the report, the increasing penetration and
declining average selling price (ASP) of the smart handsets
are driving the growth of 3G while Long-Term Evaluation
(LTE) or 4G is yet to go mainstream.
19. The number of internet users in Bangladesh has now crossed 60 million, according to the latest figures by the
telecoms regulator.
By the end of March this year internet penetration was 61.28 million, up from 58.3 million in February and
56.16 million in January, says Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
During a span of one year since March last year, the number of internet users registered a 38 percent increase.
BTRC data shows that most of the users in Bangladesh access internet through mobile phones.
