• Dosage forms are the devices into which a drug
substance can be incorporated for the convenient and
effective treatment of a disease.
• Drugs are rarely administered as in their pure
chemical form alone and they are always converted
in to suitable dosage forms before administration.
Dosage form = Drug + Excipients
