Uganda Networks Presentation
1.
2. The primary aim of the Uganda Networks website is to create a digital
space which will encourage greater collaboration between the many
charities, churches, schools and other organisations working in and with
Uganda
3. The focus of the site is on the searchable database where you can find
other organisations either ……..
7. In both cases, clicking on the name of the organisation will bring you up with
their membership details. Only by becoming a member, will you or your
partners be listed on the site. We want to ensure that the details shown are
as relevant and up to date as possible.
8. We already have one example of a successful collaboration.
Alongside Africa were contact by Farsight who then facilitated a
training workshop in Kabale for Alongside Africa staff, their
partners and other community representatives. We hope that
this will be the first of many with joint ventures between
charities that share similar aims and interests.
9. The site can also save you
time when you are looking
for information as everything
is relevant to Uganda.
Whether it is information for
a funding application …….
12. With your
support, we will
extend the range
of services and
suppliers that we
have on the site,
and ask
organisations
such as yours to
recommend
people you have
used, whether it
was for transport
to or in Uganda,
or consultants.
13. One of the main
benefits of
membership is that
you can post
unlimited
opportunities free
of charge – this can
be for employment
or volunteering
positions in the UK
or Uganda
15. And as a
member, you
can also take
part in the
discussion
forum. Here
you can post
questions that
you may not
have the
answer to, but
somebody has,
having faced a
similar
problem to
you.
16. We make
sure that
the site is
as fresh as
possible,
and have
a live
news feed
to the
Uganda
National
news
18. And live
information on the
weather and
currency rates. You
can also get the
latest FCO travel
advice to Uganda
as well as updates
as to what is new
in terms of
resources or
opportunities on
the site.

of the number of parties

people of Uganda.
