1. Evasive maneuvers
What to do if you think your job is in jeopardy? How to create a safety net even if it isn’t?
Build yourself an alternate you
EVERYONE from CEO’s to file clerks risk losing their job. I’m not talking about getting fired for
poor performance. I’m addressing circumstances beyond our control, relocation of your office,
mergers creating redundant positions, outsourcing, etc.,
Today most folks never get back to the pay scale they previously enjoyed. It’s likely that most
people have little to NO emergency savings at all. People living in America are statistically some
of the least disciplined savers on Earth.
My solution: Get another job. This does not mean, leave your current position. It means get an
additional job. I’m not suggesting you get involved in multi-level marketing, nor do I suggest
you wait tables on weekends. If you have hobbies make this opportunity one of them.
You may need to get licensed, certified, or even take a class or two. You will need to be willing
to put in a bit of work. Slow and steady wins the race, You WILL NOT GET RICH QUICK. Anyone
who tells you that is lying.
You MUST reflect on where your strength’s and challenges lay. You need to structure a plan
that will offer an opportunity to generate a continual flow of income. You need a product and
or service you can offer to people, that YOU feel good about, and TRUST.
TRUST, must never be taken for granted. Building trust with another human being is not easy.
Once you’ve gained it, it’s to be cherished. Gaining that trust is something you should be proud
of yourself for. You must also trust your client.
Most start off by selling to the people they know best, and trust. Often, that first customer is
going to be the company they work for, or a local business they frequent. Owners understand
what it takes to make a business work. Providing business owners with something that will save
them money, or eliminate unexpected costs to their budgeted expenditures will get their
attention. If you’re a customer of theirs, they want to help you, because it also helps them.
My foundation is now secure and my goal is to help others. I want to be a cornerstone for
people who are looking to grow. I don’t charge a single penny for what I am offering. The firms
that I have partnered with are some of the largest and fiscally sound in the world. I get
compensated by them. Like any honest thing worth doing, what I can offer will require work on
your part. The risk, is your time; the reward potential is limited only by you.
Best,
