Steven Todd built a wooden jon boat by sanding and gluing joints, cutting the bow, attaching sides and adding supports. He then added cleats, seats, and a floor before gluing sides and finishing the gluing. A deck was screwed on and runners and gussets were added. The boat was fiberglassed inside and out, sanded, primed and painted. It was finished and able to reach speeds of 25.6 mph on the water.
