Communications
Executive Producer/Director contracted to produce and direct all non-broadcast
video productions, reporting to the Managing Director and leading a full time
contract team fluctuating between 1 and 3 depending on workload.
January 2007 to end June 2013.
Screentime NZ Ltd is New Zealand's premier producer of drama, actuality, documentary,
and corporate television. Its portfolio includes dramas Bloodlines, Siege, Safe House and
Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud; and the long running factual series Police
Ten 7 and Beyond the Darklands. Screentime operates in New Zealand, Australia, and
Ireland as a member of the Banijay Group of companies.
Key Achievements
• Grew billings over 200% in the first 4 years.
• Secured over $200K worth of new business in my last quarter with Screentime.
• Wrote and published a regular video communications email magazine featuring fresh
ideas on how to maximise communication resources gleaned from my 20+ years of
experience producing corporate video communication. It included stories and ideas
from around the world to inspire and excite people about the possibilities for using
video, and was distributed to over 400 subscribers.
• Introduced and implemented project management workflow starting with job tracking
and invoicing and then integrating full cloud-based ProWorkFlow software.
• Led the manualisation of all systems and operations from outgoing sales calling to
post-production and media management.

• Produced a concept demo for TV3 “Classic”- a 2-hour live comedy show which I shot,
edited, and directed all pre-recorded elements for as well as acting as vision switcher
and video engineer for the 5 live shows.
• Won the 2004 48HR Film Challenge, credited as Co-Producer, Production Manager,

1991 to 2006
Bought out Repco’s Video Promotions Department to provide contract services to them
and a growing stable of external corporate clients. Specialised in regular video magazines.

Repco (NZ) Ltd Producer/Director- Video Promotions Department, reporting to the Retail Marketing
Manager and later the Group Marketing Manager.
1988-1991
Repco was the largest OE and aftermarket automotive parts retailer in NZ. During my time
with the company it grew to over 100 stores nationwide and was purchased by first Pacific
Dunlop and then The Distribution Group that also owned Repco Australia.
I was hired to establish a video production department.
Key Achievements
• Established the video department from scratch including equipment recommendations
and production workflow.
• Started regular monthly video magazines for retail staff in 1989
• Produced all catalogue photography for Repco’s Art Department.
• Produced A/V content and delivery for all conferences and events.
• Moved the Video Promotions Department from a Cost centre to a Profit Centre by
acquiring external clients such as Air New Zealand, Whitcoulls, and South Pacific
Tyres.
