 I lead a collaborative project involving colleagues, bioinformaticians, mass spectrometry
and RNA sequencing facilities, and using quantitative transcriptomics and proteomics to
investigatesystem-levelmolecularchangesinthe brainof a marine bristle worm.
 Mentored colleagues and managed optimization of protocols and pipelines for genome
editing,mutationscreening,transcriptomic&proteomicdataanalysis.
 Developed animal behavior assays and tracking software in collaboration with the
KropatschPatternRecognitionandImage ProcessingGroupat the TU wien.

 I was the first to establish targeted genome editing techniques (TALEN & CRISPR/Cas9)
for the marine bristle worm P.dumerilii anddevelopedprotocolsfortwofishspecies:
 Collaborated with colleagues in Germany to identify a link between estrogen receptor
expressionandestablishmentof the germline duringembryogenesisin P.dumerilii.
 I was awarded a young career researchertravel award to presentthis work at the 2014
FASEB Conference onGenome Engineering. Thisprojectwassupportedby aVIPS
Fellowship.
