• Made him move out of my home
• He had to fend for himself for the first time
• Never occurred to me that he could be
overwhelmed
• Used my own flawed memories to assume it
would be easy for him
• He made it look easy
• Then, he admitted it was difficult
10. GAINING FROM THIS • Feel the emotions of youth to better my

• Remember what it means to have the fear,
apprehension, and enjoyment of taking on
a new chapter in life
• Remember what drives a young adult
• Have more empathy for all of my children
• Know how he views me as an adult;

• Know he is happy and secure
