Return policy and procedure
We realise that every now and then, you may place an
order for a particular item and when it arrives, it is not what
you wanted or has been damaged in shipping. We want to
be as helpful as possible when this happens. In order to
expedite the return process, please call our office to
authorise a return and your account will be noted and any
problems alleviated.
Visual Damage - Check the outside of the shipping boxes
before signing for them. If there is damage to a box, refuse
the order and have the delivery company return the order.
Please call the Dodge office to arrange for a replacement
order. If you do keep the order, please keep the box as most
shippers will need to see the packaging for claim purposes.
Concealed Damage - If there is no visible damage to the
box, but when you open it, the item is damaged, contact
the Dodge office immediately. We can not accept concealed
damage claims after 7 days from your signed delivery. We
will contact the delivery company and start a claim process
to determine when and how the damages occurred. Once
determined, a call tag will be sent to return the item and a
replacement will be sent. Please remember that if your
claim is made after 7 days from delivery, our shipping
agents may refuse responsibility and a credit may not be
extended. Please keep the box as most carriers will need to
see the packaging for claim purposes.
Missing Items - Occasionally an item that you ordered may
not be in the box. Please contact the Dodge office within 7
days of you signed delivery. In this situation we will ship a
replacement to you with no added carriage charge.
Items Being Returned -
• Please call the Dodge office to work out arrangements
for all returns. Products must be returned in good,
unused condition, preferably in the original packaging.
• A Dodge Return Call tag will be issued if an item is
defective or damaged, or if we shipped it in error. We
will gladly exchange or issue a full refund/ credit
including shipping costs for that item when returned
within 21 days of your signed delivery.
• A Dodge Return Call Tag will be issued for Dodge
products you wish to return that are not defective or
damaged and returned before 30 days have passed since
receipt. You will receive a refund/ credit for merchandise
minus shipping charges. If Dodge products that are not
defective or damaged are returned after 30 days of
receipt, you receive a refund/ credit for the merchandise
minus a 10% restocking fee per item and shipping
charges.
• For items from outside manufacture, PLEASE notify
Dodge within 7 days of receipt of the item to arrange for
Return Call Tags (item will be returned to manufacturer
pending approval from that manufacturer) Credit will
not be issued until the item is received by the
manufacture.
• For returns other than for defects, damages or shipping
errors, restocking fees (which range from 10-25%) and
shipping fees will be deducted from your refund/ credit.

For the most efficient ordering process we suggest the following tips:
Short Shipments - Before signing for any delivery, please make sure that you count the number of boxes, or cartons being
delivered. If there is a discrepancy, indicate it on the delivery driver’s copy and initial before signing. This will allow Dodge
to make a claim for the missing items. If this notation is not made, your replacement items will be sent and the shipping
charges will be added to your account.

Information on Dodge Labels
Occasionally we are asked, “Why doesn’t Dodge print the directions for use or the index on the labels of their products?”
Both parts of this question deserves answers.
Directions
With regard to directions for use, the answer is simple. First of all, as skilled embalmers, each of you has developed your
own skills and techniques to assess the requirements needed for the case at hand. Due to the many variables in every
situation, the information necessary for the use of the product could not fit on the label. Secondly we make available product
fact sheets on each of our products. Recommended directions for use are available on request.
Indexes
There is no secret about the indexes of our chemicals either. In fact some of our chemicals do show the index on the label.
We are hesitant to perpetuate the over emphasis on the importance of index. So rather than simply giving out this
information, we also like to go into a bit of explanation.
These indexes are not nearly as important as the general emphasis on them would lead one to believe. Fifty years ago, index
was an excellent indicator of what one might expect from a chemical. Many changes have been made in embalming
chemicals since that time. Various other chemicals are now used to control formaldehyde, to increase its distribution, to
speed its action, to slow its action, and so on. Thus, while formaldehyde is the principal preserving chemical used in
embalming fluids today, and while it is the best preservative for this use, the amount in a particular formula does not really
give one a true and complete idea of what to expect from the chemical. With that note of caution, here are the indexes of
our principal injection chemicals.

The Freedom Art embalming process will not yield the same degree of firmness you would normally expect
with traditional arterial chemicals.
For optimum results, the following guidelines are recommended minimums.
Instructions for use
For a case weighing up to 200lbs or 90kgs
1– 2.83 Litre bottle of Freedom Art
1.5 Litres of Metaflow
0.5 Litres of Rectifiant
Enough water to make 8 Litres of solution.

Freedom Art– Formaldhyde Free
Should you require additional fluid for embalming
larger cases, the quantities on the left can be
halved and used to make 4 litres of arterial
solution for additional injection procedures.
For difficult or challenging bodies, it is recommended that a stronger solution be used by reducing the water
content of the solution and increasing the quantity of Freedom Art, Metaflow and Rectifiant. The best results
have been achieved with the use of a drain tube and intermittent drainage although Freedom Art can be used
with any injection technique. Following the arterial injection and aspiration, the cavities should be treated with
1 litre of Freedom Cav distributed equally between the thoracic and abdominal cavities. Any less fluid may lead
to embalming failure.

Embalming Powder
Action Powder A real must have for any and every embalming room. Dodge Action powder
delivers fast dependable preservation to areas not receiving fluid through
arterial injection. Action powder may be used freely on autopsy cases for
treating the trunk walls or cranial vault. Action may also be used for cases
requiring deodorising and preservative treatment which are beyond arterial

Complexion Cream
Aquachrome cosmetics are water-based like the
cosmetics available over the counter, however they are
formulated specifically for use in our field. It’s
translucent, so it imparts a natural no masking tone to
the skin. Included in the formula are:
• Natural moisturisers and softening agents, derived
from lanolin and cholesterol, which are similar to the
lipids in the fat of the skin.
• Hygroscopic materials which penetrate the skin,
absorb moisture and leave no greasy feel.
• Materials which form water-resistant skin films with
a fine texture and a non-drying effect.
Aquachrome Water-
Based Cosmetics
• Every ingredient in Aquachrome is non-toxic
and non-irritating to the skin.
