2. Our film opening screen shot
Similarities and Differences
This part of my film opening it is similar to
Titanic ,as we have used the same shot type
(mid shot) to show the characters leaning over
a type of balcony. The differences between this
part of my film opening to Titanic, would be
that the message they both convey are very
different . We use the shot type to show the
relationship between our characters being in
love. Where as Titanic are using it to create
emotion as people are waving good bye to
their loved ones.

Similarities and Differences
This part of my film opening is similar to
the shot used by 50 First Dates ,as we
both use the same shot type a (close up).
It also is two characters a male and
female leaning in to each other having a
convosation ,this is to show the close
relationship between the characters.
However the differences between these
two shot types would be the mis en
scene, as 50 First Dates the characters are
50 First Dates Screen Shot in their work uniform in a work
environment. Where as our film opening
shot is a young couple having a
convosation laughing at each other.

Similarities and Differences
This part of my film opening is similar to
the 50 First Dates shot again because we
have used similar shot types (long shot).
Also the characters are standing side by
side walking with each other exchanging
convosation, this would establish the
relationship between the characters in
each clip as being friendly relationships.
However there are some differences are
Our film shot, the characters are walking
the opposite way not showing there facial
50 First Dates Screen Shot expressions ,where as 50 First Dates shot
we can see their facial expressions to allow
us to imagen what they where talking
about. Also in 50 First Dates there are two
women chatting, and in Our film shot it’s a
male and female which would also
establish maybe different types of
relationships between characters. Also
there are different backgrounds .Our film
opening is a romantic walk, where are 50
First Dates is as if they are gossiping at
work.

5. Our film opening screen shot Similarities and Differences
This part of my film opening is similar to the
Titanic screen shot, as they both have the
water in the shot to show clearly the settings
they are in, even though they are two
completely different settings. Our film
opening shot is suppose to set a quite
romantic relaxed atmosphere, where as the
Titanic shot looks quite polluted with the
black smoke in the air and thousands of
people waving. It also is quite an emotional
shot. We both have used mid shots to
Titanic screen shot establish what’s around the shot such as the
boat for Titanic shot. Our Film shot has two
main characters as focus on the quite
heavily, to show the representation of their
relationship being a stereotypical couple in
love. Where as the use for the Titanic shot is
quite unclear and would have been used to
show the surrounding and help the audience
understand the environment and time period
the film is set in.
