System is defined as set of element which are joint together to achieve it’s specify goals. The
elements are inter dependent and inter related. A system has one and multiple inputs these inputs

• MIS reporting has improved due to new accounting and management systems.
WHAT IS MY OPINION ABOUT THE SYSTEM?
BLOG ENTRY 1
Build easy and effective communication channel No two people hear the same thing the same way
and get exactly the same sense and purpose. Constant, clear communications is vital in having
everyone on the same page and run the business like a well and coordinated machine and execute
tasks precisely. Also digitized communication content could be turned into knowledge and could be
used to keep track of commitments.
WHAT IS YOUR EXPECTATION OF THIS COURSE.
BLOG ENTRY 1
Almost every business has an IT professional, department, or outsourced IT service. This is because
information systems are the backbone of any business. The information systems department is
responsible for maintaining the hardware, software, data storage, and networks that comprise the
firm’s IT infrastructure.
MIS ensures that an appropriate data is collected from various sources processed and then further
send to individuals or to the top management. It helps top management in goal setting, strategic
planning and evolving the business plans and their implementation. The functions of MIS data
capturing, data storage, data processing, information distribution, forecasting, planning and control
within a company.
A. WHAT MAKES INFORMATION SYSTEM ESSENTIAL TODAY?
BLOG ENTRY 2
If we look at the increasingly diverse ways business is being conducted around the globe today, information
system and technologies have become a vital component for successful businesses and organizations.
Companies invest in information systems for various reasons mentioned in bellow:
B. WHY ARE BUSINESSES INVESTING SO MUCH IN INFORMATION
SYSTEM AND TECHNOLOGIES?
BLOG ENTRY 2
1. Innovation : Software systems make it easy, cost effective and quick to design, proto type and innovate
core “products” of any company which is the main source of income.
2. Administration : Regulatory needs , company governance, financial information
Shows the money and obey the rules.
3. Operations : Automate Business Processes to capture vital data and enable workflow. Digitized data
captured in transactions are the source of information of about the business, which could be turned into
knowledge and knowledge would result it new opportunities.
BLOG ENTRY 2

AND TECHNOLOGIES?
BLOG ENTRY 2
B. WHY ARE BUSINESSES INVESTING SO MUCH IN INFORMATION SYSTEM
AND TECHNOLOGIES?
4. Relationship : Give the power back to customers, vendors and employees to fulfill their needs through
self-service. Also track, maintain and improve the business relationship.
5. Productivity : Better Resource Management/ Improve productivity /Reduce time to complete a
task/Schedule Management Getting things done quickly and efficiently with less error is the main motto of
implementing any system.
6. Management : Understand business at ground from the top more need to depend on systems to
understand the status and ground reality of the business. Track, control and respond to the business
instantly
MIS differ from regular information systems because the primary objectives of these
systems are to analyze other systems dealing with the operational activities in the
organization. In this way, MIS is a subset of the overall planning and control
activities covering the application of humans, technologies and procedures of the
company. Within the field of scientific management, MIS is most often tailored to the
automation or support of human decision making.
As organizations grow, MIS allows information to move between functional areas
and departments instantly, reducing the need for face to face communication among
employees, thus increasing the responsiveness of the organization.
