This document provides an overview of how to map a start-up ecosystem. It discusses defining start-up ecosystems and the key players within them. Various tools for mapping ecosystems are presented, including reports, dashboards, visualization tools, and platforms with ecosystem data. An example study of the global AI start-up ecosystem is highlighted. Finally, the Skopai platform is introduced as a tool for ecosystem analysis with a free trial available on their website.
