The aggregated data is kept in the Management Information tables. Subsequently, the data is retrieved and displayed on the UI reporting screens built on .NET technology. The de-normalized data kept in the star schema will be used by Oracle Business Intelligence for data analysis by business line. Responsibilities:  Identified source systems based on the UI and OBI report requirements by interacting with various business lines and source systems’ SME.  Developed Infrastructure, Solution and System design documents. Designed source extract techniques for various source systems such as SQL Server, Mainframe and Oracle Databases.  Performed ETL Mapping exercise using FASTRACK.  Metadata Management. Performed Data profiling and Data Cleansing activities.  Developed ETL micro designs using Datastage designer as an architect and lead.  Applied ETL concepts, ETL loading strategy, Data archiving, Data reconciliation, ETL Error Handling, Error logging mechanism, standards and Best practices.  Applied warehousing techniques and ETL Frame work designing.  Performed OLTP modeling for Hierarchy schema and OLAP modeling for Data Mart with Data Architect.
  • 4.  Development of archival strategy. Designed self recursive hierarchy model for data mart and UI reporting from OLTP schema.  Built ETL routines to load star schema for cases such as: slowly changing dimensions, late arriving facts, late arriving dimensions, “as is / as was” reporting, revisions to history, surrogate keys.  Performed Data Quality, Data Profiling and Metadata Management. Have designed and developed reusable components and transformations. Applied Performance Tuning methods, Partitioning and Optimization in Datastage with large volumes of data load.  Designed and built complex stages to handle high-volume scenarios. Designed and Developed Job scheduling through Autosys. Created SIT, UAT and implementation plan and strategies. Provided SIT and UAT and Implementation support.  Performed implementation of Datastage and UNIX components. Managed cost and schedule of the project for Infosys side.  Managed risks and dependencies, and Managed clients and other stakeholders.  Performed estimation and Preparation of RUNBOOK. Anchored Change Management. 3. Project: Real Time Settlement Systems for Morgan Stanley (ETL and Java OLTP) Duration: May 2006 to Nov 2007 Role – Tech Lead for European Settlement IT Support, Maintenance and enhancement activities using ITIL framework. Summary: Morgan Stanley’s Real time settlement system consists of SAFE, XMS and Intellimatch (IM). SAFE (Settlement & Financial Execution), which runs on Mainframe, receives enriched trades from trade processing systems and extracts settlement data from other internal systems and creates settlement instruction for various message types and sends them out to via XMS & SWIFT network for settlement. XMS (Systems Message Service) retrieves name value pair instructions from SAFE via MQ and creates XML & SWIFT standard format. SWIFT format is sent out thru SWIFT network for settlement. XMS receives acknowledged, not acknowledged; kick-outs, settled instructions from various agents located across the world and passes the same back to SAFE. XMS runs on J2EE technology on Tomcat Server 5.0. Responsibilities:  Coordinates technical aspects of the project between business and technology groups.  Creation of Use Case and ETL Mapping Documents.  Enhanced DB2 OLTP schema. Documented design/technical artifacts an approved Functional Specification. Developed design solutions meeting Target architecture standards. Provide technical guidance and assist with day to day design and testing activities.  Ensured compliance to Target architecture, design and coding standards and best practices. Developed complex ETL jobs. Developed transformation and aggregation techniques.  Ensured adherence to Software Development process standards. Performed and managed design and code reviews. Identifying root cause of incidents and raising Problem Management requests.  Conducting weekly meeting with user group to assess the priority of new maintenance request. Creating Weekly Status, Capacity Utilization and Monthly metrics pack and presenting the same to line managers in Morgan Stanley  Handling outages and providing workaround during outages, and for "Hotline" set up.  Reducing Level 1 & 2 tickets by applying permanent fixes for frequent flyer. 4. Account: Telco Financial Management System for MCI (ETL and Mainframe applications) Duration: June 1998 thru August 2005 Employers: EDS (January 2001 thru August 2005) & Comsys (Jun 1998 thru December 2000)
  • 5. Summary ETL using iWay Datamigrator – The system extracts electronic files from various sources of LEC files and magnetic tapes from Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) containing access charges in CABS (Carrier Access Billing System) and SECABS (Small Exchange CABS) formats, and validates formats and loads the same Telco Account Database (TAD). Passes MCI usage information from switches, summarized by the Traffic Summarization System through Telco Usage systems (TELUS). Stores MCI circuit information received from the network provisioning system (NETPRO) in Telco Automated Audit (TAA), which audits LEC bills by comparing Telco data in TAD to the MCI data in TELUS. Audited data are passed to Telco Account Management System (TAMS) for the creation of bill payment vouchers. Roles:  Team member for first 3 years of ETL activities.  Team Lead and subject matter expert for 4 years for ETL Development, Maintenance, Enhancement, Performance Tuning, Implementation activities of TAD and TAMS applications.  Point of Contact for Configuration Management activities, Local Exchange Carrier issues (LEC), Change Management Requests, Problem Management Requests, and CA7 activities. Responsible for:  Maintenance and enhancement, and smaller development of ETL & Mainframe projects within TAD and TAMS applications. Metadata creation & Archival process.  Data cleansing and data profiling.  Developing 2 FCC mandatory major CABS releases for TAD by applying project management life cycles methods and decommissioning 2 old releases from the system ever year.  Delegated work requests to the team members in USA and Brazil.  Interact with the client to assess priorities of enhancement and maintenance requests initiated by them.  Execute their AD HOC requests to make changes to existing data.  Analyze the production applications and databases periodically for any process improvements. Ever increasing LEC data volume needed these improvements.  Assist users in UAT, and assist internal and external auditors during QA.  Upgrade TAD test environment written using REXX and ISPF Panels.  Submit change requests to system admin and DBA group as needed, to make any changes to the system software and databases.  Ensure data integrity and integrity of the application, and provide performance report and ABEND metrics of the systems to the upper management.  Ensure old data are archived properly and Record Retention process is complete as well.
