2. IEQ is about the internal state of a building
like;
and their effects on its occupants
DEFINITION[1]
AIR QUALITYERGONOMICS
THERMAL
CONDITION
LIGHTING
4. CHALLENGES[3]
HIGH CAPITAL COSTS & GREEN FUNDS
IN IMPLEMENTING INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (IEQ)
LACKS OF MARKET AWARENESS LACK OF ENFORCEMENT FROM AUTHORITIES
LESS RESOURCES AND SKILL GAP
5. SOLUTIONS[2]
A better understanding in moisture
dynamics gives a better choice for wall
and roof assemblies and will promote
better thermal condition of a building
Separate area for copying work
and housekeeping areas from the
work station for lessen the
atmosphere ozone generation
Upon designing stage of a
building, developers can use
materials that does not
produces irritating odors
Built a space that motivates
occupants to interact with each
other like a spacious area of
stairways
For a better air quality, natural
ventilation can be considered in
a building which can also reduce
energy consumption
6. SUPPORTINGSUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
GOALS[8]
By avoiding to use cleaning
products that emits notorious
odors for a better air quality, it
also helps to promote to have a
better environment and avoid
possible health problems
By encouraging more competent workers
on green jobs, it will creates more labor
opportunity for the country and increase
the economy state in the area
By building more green buildings
which using materials that
doesn’t emits such contaminants
like the VOC’s to the atmosphere,
it will lessen the earth’s depletion
of the ozone layer
7. DO’S AND DON’TS
Support any of the governments
initiative regarding realizing green
building in the country
Take initiatives to learn better and
understand how to promote a good
indoor environmental quality in the
workplace
Spread the knowledge about green
building’s how's and why ‘s they need
to be established in the world and
making it a better place to stay in
Do not simply mix bottles of chemical
detergents with food and beverages
containers
Do not be selfish about others well
being in enjoying an equal environment
of a good IEQ in a thermal comfort
condition
As a developer, do not choose a
cheaper material for building
constructions without caring the good
and bad of its chemical properties can
affect people
