Koo worked for many large enterprises in both New York and the San Francisco Bay Area,
including Wells Fargo, Bank America, JPMorgan Chase, Citicorp, CIT, US Trust, Boeing, Cisco
and many large brokerage firms in Wall Street.
Koo’s working experience has been primarily in software engineering and management,
framework innovation, monetization of intellectual properties, building and training of software
DEV teams, hands on architecture, design and implementation of large scale real-time analytics
using big-data, DEV/OPS, and providing leadership to software engineering teams in best
practice.
In all software developments that Koo managed, he was able to deliver the ROI by using open
source, together with custom design that persist beyond the life span of open source.
Koo has been passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced real-time
analytics for many years. Koo founded Software Intelligence Laboratory Inc. in New York, and
has since worked on semantic analytics, unstructured textual analytics, and sentiment analytics.
Koo designed a large-scale data ingestion system using HBASE and HADOOP capable of
ingesting hundreds of GIGA bytes per second for cyber security applications.
At present, Koo leads the development of a novel technology in NLP and textual analytics
providing auto discovery of subjects in voluminous corpora. This analytic cloud platform is a
leading solution that finds signals from noise.
Concurrently, Koo is rendering consulting practices to enterprise projects that can benefit from
his knowledge and skills. In Koo’s spare time, he builds hack-proof secured servers, works on
secured networks, building software in JAVA, C, C++, SCALA, and utilizing open source to
build analytic systems at scale.
Koo has extensive experience with open source deployment leveraging Intel X86/64 server
technologies and embedded Linux implementation using ARM32/64 processors at scale.
